I skipped all of this because I knew what was being said but maybe I missed this idea...
IF we were to have an IE podcast, I would suggest a poll be put out in which everyone could vote on when they would be able to attend. That way we know which day/time/etc we would be able to have the most guests on the podcasts.
We have some awesome people I would love to "hear" from on the podcast.

To be frank, I wouldn't be against doing this either. As I drink a lot, I don't miss games, and I have experience being a color commentator for a radio show.

have about 60 IEers that melt down on the gameday thread piped into the gameday podcast as the background stadium noise.
Then have two Pollyanna types do color and play by play....
Even on bad days it would be awesome...

Tbh I think the perfect mixture for a podcast is 2 people 3 at the max. I think we could do it where Beau talks to all each person/segment whatever at different times, then combine it and release it as 1 episode. You get more than a handful of people on one pod and they all tend to talk over each other, or you get a few people that you actually want to hear from that wont be talking just because there is no opening in the conversation.

I'd be chill with hosting an Ag/Oil futures segment with johnnycando. It may occasionally derail into Secession talk, and 2nd Amendment discussion as well. Wooly and Whiskey are the only two people welcome to call in.

Another idea could be to do a weekly youtube video same time every week where you would go through all ND sports news then have a time for viewers to leave comments about questions they would want to ask. I watch a youtuber that sets his show up like this about Manchester United. Just a thought

Just seems like Guys at work, guys on here, friends... They drink and first thing they say is "We should do a podcast about..." and everything thinks its a great idea and then nothing happens...

BTW, I did the bar one...OVERRATED.
Hard to find reliable help when dealing in a cash business. People see the money rolling in on Friday night, and think they should have some...not there Monday Morning when the checks get written. Someone with an ownership interest needs to be there 24-7. Its hard to keep a nice place, a reasonable clientel, and not have the help rob you blind.
So the Podcast thing...yea, I'm glad to throw out an idea or two. I don't know what the down side to the podcast is, as I do with the bar business, but I'm sure there is one. I'm glad to let some other poor fucker jump in with both feet...

It's so true, and why I've always been so anti-podcast. The last time the podcast topic was broached on this site I was adamantly against it, and it's why my responses in this thread are so tongue-in-cheek.
I have literally dozens of friends who have tried to "blog", "vlog", podcast, or stream. Most suck and quit quickly. Speaking strictly of podcasts, I have a few friends who stuck with it and after initially having a crappy product actually have something that's half decent but still don't have a large following or anything. Speaking of streaming or other video based products, I have multiple friends who found success in that media including one kid from ND that makes six figures streaming a freaking card game.
The problem with podcasts is that you have to have talent or an interesting theme/format/subject (or both). If not, it's boring or awkward. With streaming, a lot of the entertainment is provided by whatever you're putting on the screen so the commentary or personality or whatever is pretty secondary.
Anyways, with all of that being said, I actually think I've got a decent idea for an IE podcast that would at least make it different than what you get in the current ND podcasts. I will run it by Beau and maybe it's worth trying to do an EP to see if people like it or if it sucks.
(Spoiler alert: it's going to suck.)

Fun fact, I payed for my senior year of college with online poker winnings. Black Friday 2011 was one of the worst days of my life. At the time at least -- now, I'm very thankful I didn't go down that career path.
