Current rumor du jour is 3 year extension.

As a big fan of watching Michigan and USC struggle, I'm really excited about the prospect of Harbaugh and Clay Helton finessing extensions out of their respective schools.

Ill bet eleventy billion dollars Harbaugh leaves for the Bears sooner than later.

I could honestly see this, just not sure about the sooner part. Part of me sees a chance for the Colts too, but not sure he's the type that Ballard would go for.

Personally, I think his love for UM keeps him there, perhaps along with pride... at least for another contract. If the rumors are true though (about a lower base offer), not sure how he'll react. Regardless, he'll have (or already has) NFL offers to chose from. I think it will depend on who is offering. He's got options. Also depends on how much he hates the UM admin. I'd bet he'd take less to stay at UM if he could negotiate that the admin STFU and stay out of football.

I'm betting the contract is for both sides to save face. UM doesn't want to fire him because he was supposed to be the golden boy, Jim doesn't want to look like he turned down big money to leave, so they offer him smaller pay and he decides to take the NFL job "for his family." I'm thinking he leaves, his seat is just too hot.

It's a shame if he does, I want him to stay. It's a good time to be an Irish fan with both Michigan and USC sucking ass.

It seems to me that if you are having to recruit kids to your program the most important question for the family and recruit is "will you be there?"

A coach has to be able to go in there and say yes I will be there. I have contract through such and such. If a coach cant say that then thats a problem. Its also a problem with holding onto their current class.

It makes sense to publicly have this contract extension talk out there but I cant imagine JH is the coach to move the program forward.

this game would've been a blood bath anyway. big ten is a shit show this year and they have only themselves to blame for panicking back in august.

Pure cowardice. Pure Michigan.

Yea, nobody could convince me otherwise. This game is being played if Michigan thought they could win. Hands down this is a cop out and using Covid as a scapegoat to not get boat raced by your rival.

Harbaugh might as well hang it up on the recruiting trail. Meatchicken is real. I can just hear the negative recruiting going on rn.

Seriously. When the going get tough, Harbaugh gets running. See the pattern here Donovan?

On one hand, if this is a play to keep OSU out of the playoffs, it's an epic take-that moment that will be a funny rivalry move on a 30 for 30 down the road. On the otherhand Michigan is a bunch of losers, lead by the biggest loser.

Makes sense but I doubt the Bears will pay him $8 mill a year or whatever the hell Michigan is paying him right now.

As much as I want to agree, this is the same team that traded up from 3 to 2 with San Francisco when SF didn't want/need a QB...

If ND could’ve played a schedule as limited as tOSU, they’d still have their OL intact. Now, it may be what costs them vs Clemson.

Exactly why a team who plays 5-6 games should not be in the CFP when there are plenty of teams that have played 10-11

Maybe Ohio State shows up at the stadium with cutouts of the Michigan players and Harbaaw. Or Urban Meyer accepts the HC when Harbaugh leaves, then backs out due to illness. Or an Ohio recruit commits and withdraws on SD to sign with The state university. They first played in 1918 in the middle of the Influenza Pandemic. Any skunkbear images with a yellow stripe?

1918 Spanish Flu Pandemic Made Ohio State – Michigan History

Ohio State is "in talks" with the Big Ten about either a substitute or changing the six game rule.
