He's going to the Raiders supposedly. I can't wait to read some Michigan forums, it'll be the strangest erection I've had in my 40 years of existence.

They went from almost firing him last year to going to freak the fuck out if he leaves this year. Sadly, it probably means that Fickell falls into their hands.

Yeah I've seen people saying for weeks that the Bears would be interested in reuniting Day & Fields. No idea if there's any truth to it though.

I may get killed for this, but as a Vikings fan I really really hope the Bears put every last egg in the Fields basket

I think there is a difference between playing a second year quarterback who struggled as a rookie and hiring your next HC due to his relationship with said struggling quarterback despite him being relatively unproven

That's fair but it's not like Ryan Day doesn't have other things working in his favor as a football coach.

I'd rather be bears with struggling First year QB with a poor OL and a dead beat coach than vikings with experienced Kirk cousins.

one can and likely will improve, one has peaked and wont ever gonna be the guy.

Exactly what I was thinking. He probably thinks he earned back the money he agreed to cut last year after this year’s performance.

Mel Tucker's getting $9.5m a year to finish 3rd in his division while Harbaugh just took Michigan to its first CFB appearance following a humiliating contract "renegotiation". Would not at all be surprised if that's what this is about.

On the other hand, he may just be tired of all the bullshit that comes with being a HC in CFB, and would rather deal with professionals in the NFL.

Finally got over the OSU hump to get destroyed by UGA.....reality may have set in.

USC is hiring Michigan’s Shaun Nua to be the defensive line coach. Nua coached Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo, who project as Top 15 picks in the NFL draft.
