New report out today is that Stephen Ross wants to hire him even though he said the exact opposite of that a few weeks ago.

But he said he wasn’t going to take UM’s coach away them so if Jimmy says he’s taking the Minny job then Ross isn’t taking JH away from UM

Ugh. Yeah. When he was at Baylor I liked Rhule for our next coach. Timing didn't work out this year, but would make sense for Michigan to go after him now.

247 is basically reporting that he is 100% sure going to interview for the Vikings job, and that the only question is whether he gets it. It seems like there are two candidates with connections to their new GM who may have a better shot.

They also said that the Miami rumor is only coming from the NFL side of things, which lines up with the idea that Ross would only take him if he was headed to another NFL team.

Yes. The Vikings also wanted Ryan Poles as their GM but Chicago didn't let Poles get on the plane to Minnesota for the interview.

It's amazing how beating Ohio State, at long last after years of trying, has changed the public opinion of this guy.

Beat writers for the Chicago Bears are already putting out stories that they were negligent in not hiring and or trying to. I guess I'm trying to understand how a 2 loss Big Ten Championship season radically alters the kind of coach Jim Harbaugh is.

As I understand it, if he goes to the NFL, he is looking for a lot of control not only on the field but upstairs with personnel as well. He's also not going to come cheap, I'd assume.

IIRC, what he said was he would not pursue Harbaugh. Reading between the lines, speculation arose that while he wouldn't pursue Harbaugh, he would talk to him if Harbaugh approached him.

yeah theres a big difference in im trying to convince him to leave michigan vs hes leaving michigan on his own accord and now im trying to convince him his landing spot needs to be miami
