Imagine this. UM is second in CFP. Plays Cincy and Wins, and then goes on to beat Georgia/OkSt. AND Hutchinson wins the Heisman.

My now deceased best friend for whom I served as best man in his wedding wasND undergrad and Michigan Law. I decline to hate Michigan especially when i am saddled with domestic traitor Dunderhead Swarbrick.

I will only feel indifferent to UM when the earth is salted and Brady Hoke is sitting on a steaming pile of ash that is the "Big House".

Crazy ass times... Saban is a Pete Caroll-esque snake oil salesmen and got away with murder at Bama, don't try to convince me otherwise... and yet here I am hoping he wins this weekend, forcing scUM to play one of the SEC teams, wins big next year and kills BK...Maybe I should have gone this route a lot sooner bc now he's sure to retire after this weekend.

Yeah, if ND isn't in it, I definitely need UM to get blown out in the first game. Don't care who does it, but UGA or Bama have the best chances to do so. I can't stand UM fan base now, let alone if they get a CFP win under their belt (even if they get blown out in the championship game).

I don't think that Bama could be Michigan this year. In fact I'd bet on it.

Sorry to read about your friend passing. I also have a friend who is a Domer and Michigan grad, so I understand. However, I do still hate Michigan football and I’m okay with that.

I always love the strength of schedule arguments.

While I don't truly believe our schedule this year was top notch, I think, if you are honest with yourself, you can poke holes in anyone's schedule this year.

I would be embarrassed to defend the schedules of Alabama, Michigan, Georgia or Cinncy as being top tier.

Struggling with a backup QB at Auburn and losing to Texas A&M. So, my signature wins in the vaunted SEC are the annual powerhouse Mississippi. I think 5 of these teams will end up firing their coaches this year and another is *cough* Mercer. What A ****ing joke.

Let's see Penn State lost to Illinois.....so what's left - Ohio State, Michigan State (which was a loss btw) and a bunch of old ladies pretending they still matter in a conference that for the last decade should have been called The Buckeyes and a bunch of other teams playing football. So Michigan's entire schedule is built on "Hey, we beat OSU this year!"

Can’t remember the last time they didn’t schedule an FCS tomato can before the IRON BOWL. That alone probably gives them the false confidence that they strengthened their schedule.

You know why EVERY SEC team other than VANDY are going to a bowl? Because they only play eight conference games and in a lot of cases VANDY is one of those opponents. ACC follows the same formula but their entire conference is average so no one bothers noticing them.

Decling to hate and honoring your friend are admirable things to do.

But that's not what you did here.

Your homage to Michigan was out of any justifiable context, unnecessary, delibrately designed to provoke and done at an especially sensitive moment.

That's a classic troll post.

Then you tried to cover with a false better-than-tho and misusing an honorable memory.

The problem with your post is not Michigan.

Well if you want to see some p;rovocation, then launch into a defense of the honor and integrity and hospitality of the fan base in Columbus.

I am amused, bemuse, but never ever confused, by those who "Know what you are thinking."

Welcome to the club, it is large and undistringuished.

Oh, and you did know that Glenn E. "bo" Schembechler played for Ara Raoul Parseghian, right?

Glenn also covered up egregious acts by a doctor at Michigan. Which has been conveniently swept under the rug.

Fuck Michigan.

This simply is not the case. Empathy is a trait and seems to be housed in the right hemisphere. The right brain is assoc with sadness. Other emotions are more left brain. Hence "sensitive" people tend to be prone to melancholy not hate

okay you are the doc here.

And this is a looooooooooooooooooooooooooonnngggg discussion.

There are a shrinking few of us left who believe in free will.

And that free will is a MUSCLE, which gets more competent with stretching, exercise and robust use.
If not used, it atrophies. and first you need a
Cane (alcohol, marijuana and other drugs)
then a walker (therapy and counseling)
and then a wheelchair (pharmaceutical drugs

and there are people who follow and LISTen to Christ (as distnguished from the Catholic church or whatever the hell this Evangelical Hemaphrodite is............) or Krishna, as set forth more in the Gita, than the Vedas or Upanishads, or the Q'uran, or the Tao Te Ching who believe that humans are neither predetermined nor victims

and that one has some increasing control over one's emotions and reactions.

By exercise I can make my right bicep bigger and stronger than the left, no?

doc, I love your stuff on the covid thread, so this is probably the wrong place to insert this but hey, it is both Christmas and Festivus

Allez Bleu!

Plus I stole the quote, I think from Shannon Adler,.whoever that is. Added by edit: Shannon Adler is LDS, an affinity group that it not that fond of Jesus, Krishna, Muhammad, Buddha or the Dao. Oy Vey!

And Mike Elston graduated from Michigan

See ya next thread!

Coach MFMF is too classy for that.

I, however, am not when it comes to the Skunkbears. Fuck Michigan!
