Spencer Sanders and Spencer Rattler in back to back years.

The football gods owe us the 3 INT version of Rattler this time around.

IMO South Carolina has some decent RBs and WRs. Rattler is usually bad but played well down the stretch. Awful OL. Awful F7. Decent DBs though one likely opts out. Really good STs.

I'll take any win. ... especially if our Lines maul.
If it's vs the SEC, double good.

Keep the recruiting class, and win the portal.
Next year --- we good, and rising.

Winnable game. Get the W, head into the offseason 9-4 with momentum, profit.

Oh man, this isn't good. I'm afraid we are going to lose fairly big. Rattler has it figured out and is going to play to impress the NFL scouts.

ND wanted to avoid SCAR by going to the Holiday to play Oregon, hence the late drama. SCAR fans are excited about this matchup. I wish I could be.

Rattler has had a pretty meh season except the last two games where he threw for 800 yards. He's not that mobile though and we should be able to get pressure on him. Not as worried about the D as our offense though. Looking through USCe's stats I see their punter is 3-3 on pass attempts this year so I bet they dial up some trick plays.

You'll get through it, Mike Frank.

think you need to check your math.

For example, SCar played UGA, TN, and Clemson

TN played Bama and UGA

Penn St played Ohio State and michigan

LSU: Bama, TN, UGA in the SECCG

Texas: KState, TCU

The entire B1G east and SEC east. Prob more.

Hopefully we beat the cocks. That’s the only consolation to a rough year. If not we gotta go a whole off-season without being able to say we beat the cocks…can lead to much frustration.

In all seriousness bowls mean nothing but dammit I want something to be excited for going into next year. I felt much better going into 2015 & 2018 than I did going into this year simply because we won a trophy at the end of the year.

Warmer weather, a mid level Sec team (ended the season hot), a bowl game to prepare for with out all the excitement from last year and a 330 start.

9/4/14 OSU series announced.

ACC schedule started in 2014 with 10/21/14 announcement of the complete 12 years deal until 2025. Then 5/11/17 the schedule from 2026 until end of the extended deal 2037.

Not ideal to voluntarily add a powerhouse top 5 program the same year as another is already on the books. Appears a comedy of unintentional errors and/or bad luck. The fall of 2014 was Watson’s freshman year. Tahj Boyd just lead them in 2012 and 2013 to unprecedented success with back to back 11-2 seasons. The ACC likely didn’t know what they were doing to ND, but with their scheduling bye week practices…nothing would surprise their “no favors” treatment (beyond COVID 2020 season).

You would be correct. I’m a moron, but this was already known. Carry on, sir.

The Satterfield to UC stuff has made that Fenway Bowl just a joke. Cancel it or sub out teams or something. Guys not playing because they’re in the portal. Coaches not coaching because they are about to flip sides. On a baseball field.

And they're all gonna share the same sideline together. Awkward.

Same way as pictured above. ND brought a big poster board thing that some players held up while we were on offense to shield off our signals from BC. BC didn't think about that so they started using like towels or something I think? That's the only reason I remember us being on the same sideline.

Basically like that. I sat in the bleachers, back of the end zone. Was fine when the ball was on my end of the field but couldn’t see the other end for shit.

I don’t remember the sideline configuration but I think to fit a full-length football field in there you have to squeeze it pretty close to the first base side dugout and wall. Meaning there’s no room for the benches and stuff on that side.

They play a fair number of football games in Fenway now in November/December but it’s mostly high schools and smaller programs from around New England. Rarely a big enough game to fill the place, which is good b/c most of the stadium would have lousy sitelines for football, so people can squeeze into the good seats along the first base line and midfield.
