Wimbush throws 15 picks.

We do not have a thousand yard rusher.

ESB is the only receiver to top 500 yards on the year.

We rank in the Top 50 nationally in sacks.

We score 3 defensive touchdowns.

That would be so sweet considering how many players are on our team because of recruiting battles we won against them. Including our starting QB, who was once committed to them.

Their tears would be delicious.

Love ya koon but I think you are overselling Ga just a bit. Their issues on the OL are real and it really hampered their ability to run the ball. If they don't improve up front two things happen. Their RBs struggle to find space and their ability to play action pass is limited. Make no mistake... if, and it's a big if, their OL shows marked improvement the game for the Irish gets tough. But if the Bulldog OL stuggles the Irish can and should win this game.

Has anyone said, "John Gruden" yet? Or am I the first?

I said Urban, and am 100% not kidding. I think it can happen. Maybe not at the end of this season, but in 2019 or 2020, Urban leaves Cbus for South Bend.

Finishing his career with 4 years in South Bend and at least one title makes him the GOAT.

A Bold Predition eh. OK:

Second quarter, Georgia game:
-Wimbush takes a sack for -6yards (when he should have thrown it away) then freelances a scramble for 0 yard gain (despite running for 50+ yards sideline to sideline).
- Brian Kelly experiences a rage blackout on the sidelines and goes into shellshock, yelling 'TOMMY!!!' repeatedly. In an all-too-brief moment of clarity he screams "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKIN' AT ME FOR!? GET YOUR DAMN HELMET ON AND GET IN THERE!!" Kelly is hospitalised at half-time.
- Not wanting to disappoint his mentor, Tommy Rees steals a linebackers helmet and jersey and trots onto the field.
-Irish destroy Georgia 50-7
-Irish run the table on the rest of the season.
-Irish beat Alabama in national title game behind an unstoppable barrage of Short-to-Intermediate passing from QB, and Heisman runnerup, Rees.

Irish are forced to vacate entire 2017 season due to fielding an ineligable player. After calling for DNA tests in a failed attempt at clearing his name, Tom Rees now linked to 14 previously-unsolved 2016 cases of assault against law enforcement officers in California.

Brian Kelly emerges from a 60 day stint in anger management training claiming to be a new man. Credits his recovery to discovering Ashtanga Yoga. Retires from Football Coaching.

Jack Swarbrick, claiming to have learnt a lot from this past season (That included the most successful Notre Dame season in a generation and record UA merchandise sales), decides that this team could do with a little more 'crazy'. "Its time for the 21st century Fighting Irish" he claims in a Periscope video on Twitter. Mike Gundy hired as new head coach. Bookshop stocks new range of Under Armour wife-beaters in Green and Gold as well a 3 sizes of Green mullet wigs. All items sell out prior to Spring Game 2018.

The dawn of a new era arrives.

-Daelin Hayes will end up with 8 sacks

-Nick Watkins will lead the team with 3 INTs

-Jay Hayes will end up with 5 sacks

-Adams will rush over 1,000, while Williams and Jones will each rush over 500

-Isaiah Robertson and Kurt Hinish will both start at some point in the season

-Alize Mack will lead the team in receiving TDs

-Wimbush will throw 20 TDs, run for 8 TDS, and throw 6 picks.

-Nelson, McGlinchey, and Mack will all make all American lists.

-Special teams will actually be good.

-Team will go 11-1 in the regular season.

1. ND beats Ga on a last minute FG.
2. The Irish defense ranks in the top 30 in the country despite averaging less than two sacks per game.
3. ND comes off a huge win at USC only to lose to NC State the following week.
4. ND enters the Stanford game with one loss and is playing for a berth in the playoffs.
5. ND stuns the Cardinal with a pick six late to propel them in to the playoffs.
6. ND is seated fourth in the playoffs and draws Ohio State as the number one seed.
7. Ohio State fumbles on the game winning drive and Tranquill recovers the ball to propel the Irish to their second title game this decade.
8. Waiting for the Irish is a familiar face... the Crimson Tide of Alabama.
9. ND wins the toss and elects to defer....
10. ????

This whole thing has me so conflicted

I truly have no clue about the Georgia game.

I can see a close game, I can see a blowout by Georgia, I can see a blowout by ND.

One thing I've been consistent in is my claim that the SEC East is lowkey one of the biggest trainwrecks of all CFB conferences. Unfortunately, if one team from the SEC East had the potential to really put it together it's Georgia. I'm still not a believer though.

ND by a touchdown. We all suffer minor heart attacks because we try to give it away.

Not sure if these bold predictions have been made yet...

1. Kelly lets Chip call plays the whole season.

2. After the 2nd fumble in the first 3 drives, Wimbush is pulled for Book, who never looks back and ND goes undefeated and finishes number 2 behind a 1 loss Bama team.

I predict the Stanford game will be anti-climatic simply because Stanford will have only won 6 game and will be well out of the top 25. After losing Thomas and McCaffery they have an off year and Notre Dame will roll over them for their 11th win.

Utah is usually tough. Wazzu took a shit on Stanford last year didn't they? UCLA and ASU are pretty hit or miss.

I wouldn't be shocked if Stanford wasn't very good.

Correct. But you're ignoring every WR outside of those 2. And it's not about having faith in our WRs as much as it's having faith our WRs are better than Georgia's.

I think you are on to something.

I love Kizer and I hope he accomplishes big things on a go-forward basis.

Last year, how many times did we scratch our heads when he missed a wide open receiver(s) and instead, elected to throw into massive coverage? If memory serves me correct, it was a lot. I think the receivers did their job and got little to no recognition and this gives me greater confidence in their abilities this year. Hopefully, BW can get it done. Cheers!

Did ESB transfer without me knowing? The kid is a stud and will be one the of the best receivers in the country this season.

I was just trying to make a bold prediction that i could see happening. If we utilize the tight ends a lot, it's not crazy to think that Alize could have Eifert type opportunities to excel. I think ESB is the likely choice to lead the team in all receiving numbers, but that wouldnt be a very bold prediction. It would be like saying adams will lead the running backs in rushing.

Bold Prediction:

We have an AA at each of the 3 levels of D. And 3 AA's on O.

That's incredibly bold. I think Morgan can threaten for the Butkus this year so he'd be my pick at AA. However, I don't know who would be the AA on the D line, Tillery if he puts it all together? Either Hayes if they reaches his potential? Then on the back end, who? Crawford if he does his best Honey Badger impression, I suppose.

Prediction: at least 4 players will not stand for the anthem and IE will have record website hits because it will go bonkers.

Doesn't the national anthem happen before the players come on the field anyway? I don't remember there being that much of a delay between the players coming out of the tunnel and kickoff.

Yeah. Players aren't on the field for the national anthem, at least not at Notre Dame Stadium.
