Miami, UNC, MSU wouldn't be horrible losses. Irritating as all hell, but not horrible. Miami is ranked, UNC is functionally frisky, and MSU is a tough out.

*I'd take 9-3 with losses to those 3 over 9-3 with losses to UGA, USC, and Stanford. At least then it wouldn't another pedestrian season. Those losses would be extra salty, but those wins would be extra sweet.

MSU is a dumpster fire

We have 2 wins going into week 8 and Kelly is fired. Chuck Martin resigns at Miami to come interim head coach. We win out the rest of the way.

And that is how Chuck Martin becomes head coach at Notre Dame.

Bold prediction:

The team doesn't make me start drinking heavily until an out of sorts, WTF start against BC that ends up a 17-0 hole by the 2nd quarter.

NOT SO BOLD:

Mrs. Steelhead says "I think I want a divorce" at halftime of the MSU game

-Notre Dame beats Georgia by 3+ TDs.
-We start 5 different players at safety throughout the course of the year.

Non-ND: Dantonio and MSU part ways at the end of the year after a .500 or worse season.

You're drunk. Idk how you're so confident when they had a solid defense last year, and all 11 are back, and they're littered with 4 and 5 star talent. A returning starter qb who's rated higher than wimbush, and their rbs are better than ours.

Their ol is replacing 3 starters. Ok, well they've gained a 5 star juco, and it's not like our interior dl is one to behold.

I hope you're right, but man I think you're on the sauce on this one.

Georgia was one of the worst teams in the country last year, especially on offense. I give zero shits that they return a bunch of chumps.

At what point do we stop looking at how many stars players had in high school on a team? If we started making predictions solely on how many former 4-5 stars they have starting, teams like Washington and Michigan State wouldn't make the playoffs. Wisconsin would win 6 games every year. Oklahoma St wouldn't have any hype this season. I mean, I could go on and on. High school rankings go out the window as soon as they enroll into school.

To think a 5:s: JUCO player is all of a sudden cure any o-line struggles they have is comical. In fact, I guarantee he wouldn't start for Notre Dame.

Georgia's running backs very well could be better than Notre Dame's. But I can tell you its not by a lot. Statistically, Josh Adams and Nick Chubb are very similar players. Considering Chubb hasn't been the same since his injury, I'll take Adams/Williams/Jones and the o-line over Georgia's group.

Can Nick Eason end up being one the premier college quarterbacks by the end of the season? Yes he can. But so can Wimbush! He didn't impress me last year. If his o-line doesn't give him enough time to throw then it'll be hard for him to beat good teams.

Also, I'll take Notre Dame's skill position players over Georgia's.

1. ND beats Ga on a last minute FG.
2. The Irish defense ranks in the top 30 in the country despite averaging less than two sacks per game.
3. ND comes off a huge win at USC only to lose to NC State the following week.
4. ND enters the Stanford game with one loss and is playing for a berth in the playoffs.
5. ND stuns the Cardinal with a pick six late to propel them in to the playoffs.
6. ND is seated fourth in the playoffs and draws Ohio State as the number one seed.
7. Ohio State fumbles on the game winning drive and Tranquill recovers the ball to propel the Irish to their second title game this decade.
8. Waiting for the Irish is a familiar face... the Crimson Tide of Alabama.
9. ND wins the toss and elects to defer....

Bold Prediction:

The amount of drunken Georgia and Notre Dame fans at the bars (Brothers, Linebacker, Corby's, etc.) on Friday night causes a lot of fights and the St. Joseph County Jail is completely booked by 2 am.

In reality, I'm hoping the UGA fans are really nice.

9-3. One of the losses is due to inexperienced QB's. Ian Book starts two games, and wins. Mandatory QB controversy ensues.

Wooly and Koon have DNA tests, they turn up long lost cousins. Harmony ensues, IE withers, Used Car ads become the norm.

F*ck Michigan!

They are really nice. Should be a good time. From my experience, the only SEC schools that have Big Ten level drunken a-holes are LSU and Kentucky, and UK doesn't even count unless we're talking basketball.

Wimbush looks like a senior while he leads the O. At least 4 games will be won on the final drive and Brandon will have a never say die attitude that becomes contagious.

Koon, since you seem to be enamored with Georgia's RBs and are confident in them having a good OL.

Imagine you were given the option for the game to decide who we have on our sideline: would you take Georgia's OL/RBs vs our OL/RBs (it's a packaged deal)? Would you take their QB over Wimbush? Would you take their TEs over ours? WRs?

We'll cover defense next but I'm curious which position groups you'd honestly swap with Georgia.
