If McKinley returns and Austin is out of the doghouse. Adding in Keys Lenzy and Jordan Johnson plus the TEs, ain't no way he is seeing time.

You're probably right in general, but McKinley almost certainly isn't coming back.

I'd love to add Black. An experience, #1 WR? Yes please.

I'd gladly take him. We're losing Claypool, Finke, and likely K Met.

We'd be insane to pass on a potential #1 when we're banking on two guys who've literally never played before (Jordan Johnson, Kevin Austin).

And Lenzy has a small scope of work now, imagine the fatigue when he's asked to do more than run 2 sweeps per game?

Even after Kmet said he is returning to ND?

Even after Kmet said he is returning to ND?

he was asked the question and then said he was coming back...just like fuller was asked, said he was coming back and then went to the nfl...it's not 100% he is def coming back despite saying it.....its a 50/50 chance not a likely because it's a toss up

He hasn't been a #1 WR since HS

Better off keeping McKinley. Von was twice as productive per target.

career totals of 40 catches, 507 yards, and 2 td's gets you excited huh?

Kmet did that this season!

The much complained Finke nearly did that this season (2 more td's) and did it last season. We literally had a former walk on complete Tarik's career two times over.

Hard pass imo.

I'd personally be surprised if K Met came back, regardless of what he said. Just My opinion.

If so, we're basically losing everyone on the team who catches footballs. I'd take Black in a heart beat.

I'm speculating that Kmet will in fact return next year and that he was part of the "mass exodus" should Long have stayed. Now that he is gone, Kmet will return and win the Mackey award as the next All-American TE at ND and go on to become the next Gronk in the NFL.

Wonder how much his injury hurt his development? I really thought he would be a really good WR in college.

Isn’t Kmet’s baseball career another reason to think he’ll stay?
I guess I’ll take the guy at his word until there’s reason - beyond speculation by draft gurus who assume everyone wants to be i the NFL immediately - to think otherwise.

As for Tarik Black. It’s intriguing. We could use some experienced WRs. But it’s hard to get too excited about Michigan’s leftovers.

My understanding is that McKinley is done w/ football. He’s not coming back to ND & he’s not transferring.

No. A healthy, senior Tarik Black gets me excited.

What were Claypool's totals before this year? What about Boykin's?

Claypool was more, Boykin was far less his second to last year.

Tarik is a VERY GOOD receiver and he was off to a tremendous start as a freshman and got injured for the year....then got injured for the year the following year which i believe was the same foot he injured the year before....have to remember the qb's michigan had throwing to him...DPJ is an excellent wr and his numbers are pedestrian due to qb play prior to shea turning it up starting the 2nd half of the psu game.....i would certainly welcome him...

also don't forget they had nicco collins, DPJ, ronnie bell this year

Yeah, that's the word. But Coleman said the same thing until it sounded like ND wanted / might want him back.

Not too concerned about WR's as long as Kmet's back.

I agree with Koon on Kmet. Kmet wasn’t going to say he was going to the NFL in the middle of the season. Or has he said again recently he was coming back?

Also should probably add that I wouldn’t take Black. I think we have a really good receiving corps coming back. Ride it out if they think Austin can be the Claypool of the group. Which by reports during the season sounds probable.

You think Black would want to come to ND even after his high school buddy got kicked out of ND?

bigger needs, but I'd take him....
as grad transfers go, he'd be one of the better ones.

I just don't have near the faith some of you do in the 2020 WR group.

Claypool gone, K met gone, Finke gone, Young gone.

Keys does nothing, Lenzy plays backup minutes and is still too tired to make away games, Brock Wright catches 2 passes per year, Jordan Johnson can't buy cigarettes, Kevin Austin doesn't even practice with the real team, and Joe Wilkins' speed is rated a 73 in my own personel NCAA 2020. Agility, 58.

Lenzy moved into a starting role
Austin paid his dues
Wright (and Tremble) will pick up where Kmet left off
Johnson comment was just stupid

Don’t you get tired of posting stupid sh*t? You are as bad as Loy with the clickbait crap you post.

Wright and Tremble are next in line, sure. Tremble is the only hope as a pass catching threat. KMET was special. The other two haven't shown signs of being that.

Lenzy doesn't catch footballs. Since you say he was starting, can you post his catches? Claypool was special. Lenzy is a niche player so far.

Edit: started half the year at WR. 10 catches. Hello heisman!

I'd love to see what koon would be posting about Black if he was at ND this year. He'd make him sound like a D3 talent.

Will Fuller only had 6 catches his first year playing.

He didnt start half of that year. It's pretty telling to start 6 games and have 10 catches.

It's just crazy the lack of returning production and you guys think "NBD we dont need anyone".

I bet it's close to all time low, possibly ever in the BK era for returning pass catching production.
