Jumped into the Rivals top 100. Interesting, given how lukewarm many on this board have been about him

I was told he was a silent commit to ND a few months back. Apparently a lot changed.

It got weird. Black's parents loved ND, his friend is committed, and a poster on ISD who knew people at Cheshire said that they were very much in ND's corner, but the source was pretty certain that Black hadn't given a silent commitment. Since then, ND has been fading hard.

I've been indifferent since the weirdness associated with him and CJ-H's Tweeting regarding where CJ would attend.

At this point, it's hard to get worked up about who is or isn't coming in the class of '17. There's more pegs than holes. Martin, Holloman, Calvin, Igbinoghene plus Jones & OSB are in play until NSD.

...and there might be late '17 offers coming soon.

Can't say I have the answer to that but my opinion is a majority of this is Wiltfong getting in front of his OV to Michigan, where it seems like, Black could make a commitment. However, my opinion has been for awhile that there will be a lot of noise in this recruitment, as he wants to announce at the AA game. So, he'll have to keep throwing people off by sources leaking info, taking visits, etc.

There is some concern numbers could become an issue at UM, with regards to the WR position, and maybe he tries to get in front of that. I think this is more noise. Again JMO.

according to wiltfong he is saying they WILL make room for black, martin, jones and some other guy can't remember his name ...carol maybe?...anyways they just lost Ahmir to transfer and limited wr options right now on team......

once he visited michigan and bama a while ago they seemed to have the momentum and ND has been fading for quite some time...despite what loy had been saying regarding until he hears different regarding ND...well i guess he finally heard different from wiltfong and now he is on board w/ him heading to michigan

staff have been working on it but as of right now he hasn't set one up w/ ND


the BBQ at michigan is what seperated michigan from ND according to 247

Ahmir Mitchell transferred AND Brad Hawkins didn't pass the NCAA clearing house. Put Michigan down two 4* frosh WR's from NJ from the 2016 class. That's why there is room for 4 guys at WR in this class now.

and it's Nico Collins you're thinking of.

What about Marquese Bell? I thought he was a gimme to Ann Arbor a while back, haven't followed him lately, ND didn't get involved. He's a 6-3 WR/S with good stats both ways. Which way are they recruiting him? Do they lead?

honestly don't know. last I heard he was leaning towards Rutgers and Clemson.

IF Harbaugh pulls that off, would be a hell of an epic WR class. DPJ is the #1 WR and a top 10 player in the 247Composite and Nico Collins is a top 100 player and Black a top 150 player. And every one of them is a bigger guy who can run. HATE recruiting the midget WR's. Lived through years of hell with that crap under Rodriguez.

DPJ is the real deal and one of thew few who could be considered a sure thing. Everyone else is a toss-up.

Black is still wanted by ND but he's a tossup at the next level. I don't know Nico Collins but the jewel would be DPJ.

Getting him and Rashan Gary from last year are major pulls. It's hard to grab those 5 stars.

if LB Drew Singleton the #1 player in NJ and a top 60 player in the nation (247Composite rankings) goes to Rutgers then the spell will be broken. He's looking like a heavy Michigan lean right now though.

That was kind of my point with the numbers statement. Not that Michigan couldn't take all of them but when you look at playing time and receptions to go around, it gets pretty tight for those numbers. In an offense/roster that carries 9 FB/TE's and 9 WR's, that also very rarely runs 2+ WR sets, I don't see all 4 (including Martin) ending up at the same place. Its, essentially, a 2 WR offense. So, bringing in all 4, means 2 guys are situational players or backups. I just don't see all 4 doing that. Should still be a great haul though.

DPJ + any 1 of those other 3 = I'm good.
