Or you could just say they are cheesey up front then it doesn't matter how the kids career ends up.

So count me in the camp of just wishing they pick ND early and stay committed with zero flash and show up willing to work,whether they end up all american or scout team.

I think I might have to disagree about being salty about the commitment videos.

If you're gonna go with the flash and the glitz and the glamour, and announce your verbal commitment in grand fashion, then you sure as hell better be ready to back it up. And when you don't back it up, it's only natural that people are gonna be like, "LOL 'member that dumb video? That was so dumb."

When people bring up the video now it might sound like sour grapes, but looking back at the comments people thought it was pretty dumb at the time as well.

While transferring due to a sinus problem sounds like BS, I don't have any reason not to believe him. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

I went back to watch his commitment video as I've never seen it before. I'm pretty sure I figured out why he isn't playing. This guy has the smallest feet I've ever seen, bet we wears like an 8.5 or 9 and tips over easy. Just a guess though.

I actually have no problem with the video (although I said it was stupid at the time).

The whole "P-Money" schtick along with the fact that he tried to look like a hardass in every photo is what formed my opinion.

...oh well, here's to hoping P-Money gets over the sniffles.

I liked the video at the time (and said so.) All that matters is what the guy brings once he arrives. Irish Chocolate had uber-amounts of character and I loved the Big Fella. I could easily have seen one of my brothers committing like that --- and he would have been He!l-on-Wheels in the gym and practice field living the hard@ssed footballer life (and being a great teammate.) You don't have to be personally grim or lifeless to be one heck of a player and hard worker. Weird assumption to connect the two. (Clausen was over-the-top but he could hardly be claimed to be any sort of low productivity player. He was, rather to my eyes, Dammed Dangerous to opponents in his later years --- I recall him blowing the top off USC on a pass and turning to Carroll as he ran down the field saying "you can't do that!!", and Carroll laughing. Guy was astoundingly accurate.)

Parker transferring was more of a surprise to me than Hoge. My dad and I talked to Parker's parents at a game last year and all seemed to be fine.

You have to remember though he is still a kid and the way he thinks vs. a veteran like McGlinchey is different.

I respect his decision on why he is transferring...good luck to ya kid.
