And of voting age, age of consent and old enough to serve our country....... yes, that makes you an adult. Maybe not a very mature one, but an adult nonetheless.

Not saying you're not right about talking about the kid.... but if he is the age of Parker than it would be an adult hating on an adult.... just sayin.

I have no problem with his commitment video and kind of liked the kid's swag. But transferring over sinus issues because of climate-related sinus issues seems kind of pathetic. I guess that rules out a career with half the teams in the NFL?

Okay... I'm gonna call a spade a spade though. I'm not some old geezer getting mad about the younger generation, I'm a peer saying that he came across as sort of a douche lol

And living 12 hours south is going to make a difference?

Actually it probably would, at least a little bit. ha.

But yeah, make more sense if he was going somewhere more dry though. Like out west.

Depends by person. Some sinus sufferers need very high humidity, others very low humidity.

Along with the sinus issues I also read that his younger sister has severe medical issues back home in Florida. She has been in and out of the hospital frequently from what I read.

I thought you were all DONTH8?

Hahahaha, funny thing is, I used this name for a lot of things when I was in Jr. high/high school because I thought it was cool. Now I think it's the stupidest thing ever and wish I could change it. But whatever, I'll wear it.

What's funny is I actually enjoy debates and fights. In fact, some of the best stuff on here, real deep mind bending stuff happens when people argue on here. Especially some of your posts have swayed me from time to time on various subjects. I don't mind the hate for others. Sometimes it can push you harder.

And let's be real, I don't think what was said about Parker was that farfetched, and I'm sure he doesn't care what people say about him, and doesn't need someone else sticking up for him. That's the only reason I said anything about the post in the first place.

All of you who have been perfect from birth raise your hand. That's what I thought. I had no problem with his commitment and wish him the best.

I had some serious issues with my sinuses and had to have surgery to correct. I can tell you that if it gets bad enough, it's hard to sleep and will drain your energy to the point where you struggle to get anything done and can't concentrate.

If his are flaring up all the time, he's making the right decision.

Pretty sure no one here would have pegged "Sinuses" as a reason a player transfers. Add that one to the list. lol

And living 12 hours south is going to make a difference?

Yep. Part of the reason I moved my family from OH to South Carolina is because both my son and wife had serious sinus issues while living in the midwest climate. They are much better down here. My son still struggles a little bit in the fall, but my wife hasn't had a sinus infection since we moved here in 2012.

I don't know the situation with Parker, but if it is sinus related, I get it.

YEAH!

From now on, they should only recruit starters cuz the only guys they are losing are the buried back ups!

They need to get 4 OL every class not 2.5. The cupboard is bare and I can hear Kelly whine how he cannot hold a real practice because of how bad the depth is. I'm sick of it!

Heistand prefers 13 offensive linemen, there's 13 on the roster. 11 of them are former blue-chip recruits. We just had a large class signed--3 of whom are projected to play early in their careers--and we will follow that up with a large class for 2018.

This might be at the very bottom of my list of worries with the program.

How did this slip by without an "elaborate please"?

Elaborate, please? If it pleases the court. Which it does.

So, OLine. Disaster? OK? Great? What?

OLine as many have discussed here back when Whiskey was posting his ideal roster depth numbers, is different from all other player categories in that the staff looks to draft "four" per year, lose two or so as years go by, end up with "14" on the roster --- four of whom are redshirting, and have about eight of the remaining ten lineman in the actual game-ready mix.

When Lugg comes in and integrates, we will have 12 scholarship OLinemen instead of the 14 ideal number (i.e. Hoge and Boudreaux.) Three of these guys will be freshmen, and in ideal times would redshirt. That would leave 9 OLine vets to pick 8 ready linemen from. alphabetically ---> Bars, Bivin, Eichenberg, Kraemer, McGlinchey, Mustipher, and Nelson would be 7 of those 8. It might be noted at this time that it is likely that 6 of those 7 could easily be pros. Hunter Bivin is the 7th and he is a player well thought of by the staff.

It should also be remembered that many teams have a 7 OLine main unit anyway, with one first-man-in interior, and one first-man-in tackle. We played that way most of Kelly's early years with just "dummylistings" for the other spots. It's likely that Byrne and Ruhland will be listed as second team without much likelihood of playing. One freshman as well. (Banks or Hainsey likely since they EEd.)

This means that barring injury, 2017 OLine is set to be excellent and maybe top five in the nation, so one could say that if the first 7 can hold up, we're MUCH more than OK this year.

What about next year? McGlinchey, Nelson, and Bivin go for sure. Does Bars? Does Mustipher?

If Bars and Mustipher stay, then those two plus Kraemer, Eichenberg, and Banks/Hainsey/Lugg would make a formidable OLine game-ready seven.
If they don't stay, or if even one of them tries the NFL, then we're really thin. So, 2018 is where it could really hurt, and so, yes, this recruiting class needs to get at least four if not five to make up for the losses.

I trust that Harry is all over this situation.

This post really puts it right IMO. We are fine as long as we can keep recruiting high level OL.. The 7 is what I care about more than 2 Deeps, because most of time we will play the best 5 no matter if it means moving a guard to center or tackle to guard
