We will be fine at RB, I'm assuming Tony Jones/Dex/ and Mcintosh will split carries, I'm assuming CJ Holmes will be back but will be suspended 3-4 games he should get carries too, the freshman kid will most likely redshirt

Agreed. I love Josh, knew he was going to be good when he was in high school. He was yards away from the most in a season, ran hard when healthy, and you never heard one bad thing about his character. However, being a Notre Dame Man means he gets his degree. In the off-season he comes back and finishes his degree, we can circle back.

Good guy good character but if he can get a few paychecks playing ball go for it. I'm not bothered because he appears to have peaked and it's time for our other stable of back to develop. At lest they should be fresh and hopefully Dex see's this as his opportunity to snatch. I hope he works on his blocking and proves he deserves to at least split time with Jones. Jones has a long way to go to get 15-20 carries a game. Also opens up a spot on the roster. Sadly losing Josh was the least of my loss concerns. Next was ESB after that I am concerned. I will be pissed if Coney and Tillery leave.

As long as we don't have any serious injuries to the RBs, I don't think this impacts ND next year.

But you can say that about any position (injuries), so we're fine IMO.
