A lot of these kids absolutely dominated their Bio videos.

Really pumped to see what Mokwuah can do on the DL. Great late addition.

Liked the story from Elston about the coaches visiting Pete's highschool when Rutgers was there to pick him up for his official...nice.

BK just mentioned Mokwuah by name, so I assume everything with Pete is good re: his NLI.

Never really followed Mokwuah's recruitment that hard, but just did more research. He's physically looks like a clone of Muhammad Wilkerson of the Jets. Everyone here is talking about him at nose, which in some ways makes sense if he's the biggest body on the DL, but looks to have long arms and hand control to dominate tackles as a 5 tech in a 3-4 as well.

The value in that is that it's hard to put a double team on the outside, and running to one that side becomes a problem if the 5 tech is a mismatch on the tackle. In passing situations, if you have an OLB coming off the edge, the tackle can bump out, but you'll have to hope the guard is going to be able to slide AND take on a massive, long armed 5 tech, which is a mismatch every time. Also leads to huge opportunities for stunts. The best example of this is the combo of Justin Smith and Aldon Smith on the same side, which there are really no good answers for.

Basically if they can get him in shape and coach him up, he should be able to play NT, 4-3 DT, or 3-4 DE, which is great for versatility.

Hope he's dedicated to conditioning because I think he'll be really good for us if he can get his body right. Hopefully he won't struggle quite as hard as Nix to find a fit.

Like that they call him "Little Lou". Hopefully he can be as good as the original.

Actually had a really decent highlight tape after I watched it. I am pretty sure his competition was awful so of course he looked good. I still think he is a year away from putting it all together but I think he will be a solid player for us. Poor mans Louis Nix. Even though Nix only had 1 good year I think Pete could have a couple good ones for us

I think he'll end up being a solid rotational player for us. We have some solid depth at DT going forward. We just need 1 or 2 of the young guys (most likely Tillery and Hayes) to turn into impact players.

Which they will. Actually really like our DT depth thank God for Tillery. DE's still have me worried sick. I don't see anything with Trumbetti or Okwara

Nothing with Trumbetti, really? Haven't ever thought that. He had a productive freshman season and the coaches speak of him as a upperclassmen which means that he's probably consistently growing as a player.

Yeah holy cow. Trumbetti is one of the players that I'm looking forward to see playing the most. I think he could have a great sophomore season

Okwara, sure. He clearly would have benefitted from a RS year. But Trumbetti? He was quite disruptive as a true frosh last year. He definitely has the potential to be a special kind of special. A true edge rusher.

See I can see a good player but a special player? Like elite? I hope you are right but I just don't see it. I'll go back at watch some games. I think he played the run pretty well at times I think he flashed at times especially during Stanford but I thought he was to hot and cold. More cold then hot at times. I'm not trying to sound like a Trumbetti hater because I'm not I just don't see the special material. Maybe I'm being to critical of a freshman.

Based on what he's shown I can see him develop into a legit NFL prospect. Different player but similar impact to Day his freshman year IMO.

21 tackles, 15 solo, 5.5 TFL's, 1 sack, and 5 QB hurries is good production for a freshman that essentially played half of 12 games. The sack numbers are lacking but I attribute that, mostly, to not getting enough opportunities.

I was thinking of starting a.... Pick 5 guys on the team who will be NFL starters and Trumbetti was on my list. He's gonna have that perfect size and athleticism for an NFL DE when he gets there. This guy IS a special physical talent. He won the US Army obstacle course didn't he?

Pete is one player I am very curious about. Do any of you insiders got any details? I know his reps will be limited with day jones cage Hayes etc, but how has he progressed so far...

spending 20 bucks at taco bell instead of 30.
everything I've read this year says his conditioning is improving, but a ways to go.
