Here… but it was discussed in several threads.
Thanks. I have yet to read that. Or maybe I frequently black out.
It's a law-school-finals-week-mystery.

So much for the uninspiring quotes from ISD (to be fair Christian clarified the interview was very early in the morning).

As discussed before, contingent on McKenzie's test score?
Nope. Nelson has a committable offer. ND is not waiting on McKenzie.
What are the chances with Quick? Oklahoma leads?
Would much rather have McKenzie... or neither and just get Quick. Dunno... not enamored with Nelson but maybe that's just me.
Don't really see the need to have a 5'8" one dimensional player in this class.

You aren't really one dimensional when you can return kicks, punts and play slot WR IMO. I don't think I could ever be disappointed in a commit from a kid that runs a 10.5 100m, either.
Right now I'm with Philly. If I saw something in our playcalling this year that led me to believe a 5'8" slot receiver would thrive in our O, I'd be all for it. But even last year with Golson I didn't see much indicating we'll use a guy like this effectively.
We never throw over the middle of the field with Rees or Golson. But maybe Kelly "intends" to open the playbook up for Golson next year.
IF SOMEONE THROW A GOSH DARN DRAG ROUTE and I would be okay with it.
I have a hard time believing McKenzie runs anything under a 4.6 after watching his highlight tape.
I personally if we have to take one of them would much prefer Nelson. Kids got much better offers, is much faster, and isn't struggling to pass NCAA clearinghouse.
It was good but IMO Nelson showed more long term potential in his based on his speed.

Quick is a take no matter what though.Hmmmmm
And doesn't make plays.
If all you needed was speed, then we would just recruit track kids. McKenzie had a play making ability that is on an entirely different level than Nelson, imo.
I think that we will still take McKenzie regardless of Quick, but won't take Nelson if either were to commit.
