Not that anyone really cares, but Brent is heading to Nevada.

Although he was/is? a knucklehead, I always liked what I saw in film clips of Brent. He was, obviously, an exuberant personality, but I wished that he'd grow up just enough to play ball here (though I believe that Coach never trusted him.)

I wish him the best in his new-found "maturity."

He did also post a pic of himself and his kid in his ND cap and gown. Can't hate on a kid who flops but still gets his degree.

Kid will be close to Vegas. What could possibly go wrong?

Loy said he was committed to Oklahoma State and he would have been a bauce there but with BVG on staff he was blocked. lol BVG still fcking shit up for ND guys

Good luck kid, still think you should have played safety or stuck at WR

So he's going to play wide receiver --- great! That's the player I saw when he came here, and that's the position he lost by becoming a knucklehead publicly. Hope that he's actually grown up. If so, he'll be great at Nevada if the quarterback there is at least conscious and has a pulse.

"Quick Twitch ---> GONE." That's what I remember from those early film clips.

I truly believe he will be one of the few ND transfer to succeed somewhere else. He has all the tools... probably more innate talent than the majority of the WRs on our roster currently.

He's also close to Vegas so I believe he won't succeed

After being in Indiana for so long, Reno will feel like Vegas, Christmas, Super Bowl Sunday, and Hedonism all rolled into one. He won't even need to make the trip.

At least the kid got his degree. Now he’ll have a masters degree and will have played D1 football. Not everyone becomes a star. He’s a lucky kid.

I still have no idea how he simply isn't way better. He has plus athleticism... better athleticism than most DI skill position players by a lot. Can't even get on the field at Nevada?

I'm with Lax. Yes, he got a degree and will have a masters at the end of it as well. He can say he played D1 football, which many cannot say. The problem is, he just seems to be such a waste of talent. Not that these are all equal, but it would be one thing if he had injuries hamper/end his career, trouble with the law, failing out of school, whatever. Instead, it comes down to, "How the hell is this guy just not performing?" It is just such a severe lack of focus.

Priorities. He is like that girl who is an A+ student, but not a real looker. Over the summer, she drops some weight, loses the glasses, gets a makeover comes back to school and all the boys say "WOW". Now she concentrates on the boys and her grades suffer.

JB was the same way. Going from a little school like Speedway to a place like ND where the world opened up. He got too distracted by everything else and didn't have the desire or focus to put in the work. Workout or get laid?

this is basically the script for She's All That. Nice analogy.

Ability to play Rover in Elko's D? I'm not a talent scout so I'm honestly asking. I think moving him from position to position, trying to find a fit, combined with his obvious lack of work ethic/focus/drive are reasons he never emerged they way many people felt he should. Always a shame.

Graduated from Notre Dame in 7 semesters, studied abroad in Hong Kong and Shanghai, is getting a Justice Management graduate degree next year from Nevada, and has played in 6 games thus far. I'm rooting for him to do well this season and maybe become a starter next year.
