Don't forget Degrees earned: 1.

This! And that's the only stat that really matters. I wish him the best of luck, wherever he ends up. But getting that degree is what it should be all about. Even more than I want him to be successful in football, I hope he is wildly successful in life. Just for doing it right!

Good luck J Brent! I hope you find success at your next stop!

Always thought he never got a fair shot from the coaching staff!

He never did get a fair shot. Partially was his own doing though.

The injury he sustained this year was brutal. He could have seen the field as a third down back and in the slot.

The #1 thing here is that he is getting his degree.

For all those who are bringing up Justin not seeing the field...to me you have to out perform those who are seeing the field.

Good luck Justin and go to IU.

When's the last time we've had a mid level or above (94 rating) 4-star from Indiana flop?

Besides Brent?

Kiel.

Barajas and Bilal are on the clock.

.

Good point actually, didn't realize they were that recent.

I don't think Bilal will be a player at ND. Doesn't have the aggression for this level at LB. Hope Elko can get something out of him he hasn't shown yet. Barajas I'm more hopeful for - I think he might have the attitude if he could ever shed Longo's bad habits.

Hot take alert: I think he had more talent than every WR currently on the roster but ESB. But he was oft injured, and he never had the right mindset towards working his way onto the field... the move to RB was the surest tell that was on his way out of the program. Just disappointing, he should've been a good one.

I only recall BK commenting on Justin one time but it was that he needed to get his head in the overall game, which apparently never occurred.

Yes, there are certain guys... Jordan Prestwood, Grant Blankenship, etc... who just don't show the right mindset and dedication to being a great player/teammate. Sometimes the light comes on, sometimes it doesn't. In Brent's case it's hard to say what he'll do with his last two years.

I was never impressed with this guy's play, I was optimistically hopeful about him as I am with all ND players. But I had/have the same feeling towards him that I did towards 'some of the players along the Dline' last year. Which is, quietly unimpressed.

I held my tongue last summer before the season(because im not trying to pile on ppl), but just because you 'run with the big dogs, doesn't mean your a big dog.'

Agree to disagree... I see him transferring and not really doing much of anything with any program he goes to. His head never seemed to be in it and if he really had all this talent, the coaching staff would of done everything possible to get him on the field...

You guys can guesstimate & told ya so all you want. The guy has NFL measurables and build, much like CJ Prosise. It may click, somewhere else, it may not. It might have been a 3 year case of the dog house blues. Going to IU gives him the best chance to succeed IMO. They know how to RTDB.

I think IU would be a fantastic place for him to land. They've put 3 RB's in the league the past 4 seasons or so, and pretty good ones, too. Just because things didn't work out in South Bend, doesn't mean it won't work in Bloomington, or someplace else for that matter. He's got talent, but if his head isn't in it for academics & football at the same time, who knows???? Best of luck to him.

I never said he was going to do anything at his next program.

Such a shame that nothing every panned out here. I liked him from the first time I saw his film and projected him to have a heck of a rankings rise, although 5 star status was higher than I ever thought he would get.

Good luck to him. I hope he can use his great athleticism to make something happen for himself at his next stop.

Or he can go to ASU for the "weather".
