I know the SEC sends a lot of guys to the NFL, but they aren't sending enough to make the numbers work. It's simple math, dude. I'm on my phone, so I'll have to look up specific numbers later, but its well documented that SEC teams are still consistently signing more players than scholarships available (which includes schollies gained by guys leaving for the NFL). Show me some SEC players that didn't have football work out and remained at the school with a full scholarship.

we can talk about this in the over signing thread

Jaylon is and will continue to be a great recruiter for ND. He makes a great effort to reach out to all of our recruits.

Every time a big-time recruit starts to consider ND, I start to sing "here come the studs" in my head to the tune of "here comes the sun"

Except you don't talk about it. You just seem to pose loaded questions there.

Anyway, Raekwon is pretty bad @ss. He'd probably look very good in blue and gold. What are y'all thinking for LB numbers next year-- sign 2 or 3?

go back and read the thread

Can't wait to see where D'Squarius ends up. He put together an impressive career at ND.

Top 5 in no order Ohio State, Florida, Clemson, Alabama, Notre Dame. Really likes Booker and talks to him a lot. Will visit Bama in January and Notre Dame at some point in the future. Dropped the 40 year decision line.

Suprised to not see UGA on that list.

Thanks Clash. That's a promising update, but damn those are some heavy hitters to recruit against.

One of these schools is not like the others.

ESPN article about new rule change in recruiting. Begins August 1st. Coaches will be able to contact a recruit as much as they want.

Recruiter, prospect relationships could change in wake of new rules - ESPN

On McMillan:

And that's why coveted 2014 linebacker Raekwon McMillan says Scott is his favorite recruiter. An ESPN Watch List prospect from Hinesville (Ga.) Liberty County with more than 20 offers, McMillan appreciates that the coach cares about his parents and mentor.

But he's also wary of the changes coming in August. McMillan likes five schools right now -- Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina -- but won't talk to any more than eight by the time the calls and texts start flooding in.

Note: "Scott" is referring to Clemson's WR coach, Jeff Scott.

He says:

"I'm going to give them a time frame when I want to talk to them, like from 4 to 7," he said. "If it all gets too heavy, I'll just stop doing it."
