No matter which of the 3 schools he picks, he will get a fantastic education.

I don't know the kid, but I'm rooting for him no matter what.

Looks like he went to a UVA practice with some teammates/friends yesterday

IMO he chooses UVA unless we push real hard. Apparently we've been out of contact for months and h visited UVA yesterday and is visiting them this weekend.

A guy from VA visiting UVA? Get outta town! Seems like if we push, we get him.

He has strong family connections to UVa though, doesnt he? And we have two people currently committed at his position -- which is not to say I don't want him (DO WANT) but I suspect UVa is a serious threat.

One thing about the business schools -- I believe at UVa you arent guaranteed admission to the business school; you have to apply and be admitted after your freshman or sophomore year, right? At ND, anyone who wants to major in business can do so, right? I know they've talked about changing this but I think this is still the case. If we want to get him we should sell this hard.

If we can't get him then I'll be ecstatic if Stanford loses him.

Most signs point pretty strongly to UVA. TBQH, anywhere but Stanford is a win in my book.

I would agree with you, but both the staffs of ISD and 24/7 seem to think we are squarely in the mix at the very least. Hope so.

Solid to Stanford and no longer considering others. Oh well. Once we get Anzalone tommorow it won't really matter

He's solid to Stanford. If you assume Anzalone commits tomorrow, we will be full on traditional linebackers.

this is exactly what scares me about when we hear our current recruits say they are solid..just reaffirming nothing is solid until the paperwork is signed...and even then there is a small chance of backing out

Seriously, dude. Thanks for having a sense of humor. I think I will rep you.

@rivalsmike: I have to think Doug Randolph has a better chance at ending up at #UVa than #NotreDame at this stage, but has 2014 teammate committed to #ND

@rivalsmike: just got text from someone tight with Randolph that says he will be #FightingIrish

Sounds like he tweeted the first, then got texted by someone saying "LOL NOPE", and then made the second tweet.

Landing Randolph would be great. Based on what he said yesterday though, it sounds like he will take his time with his decision and make multiple visits. That was a direct quote from a 247 interview, but now it's sounding more and more like he might pull the trigger soon (if he hasn't already) and then maybe take those visits afterwards?

Interested to see how this plays out and would love to have Randolph.

Love, love, love stacking up on front 7 players. All we need now is the secondary.

Wait, where have I heard that before?
