I like Deep. He reminds me also of Carlo and that's not a bad thing at all. i like Carlo and he is an intrical part of the team.

^Agreed! Deeb will be way better than people are giving him credit, way better than Calabrese

On Randolph, and not to be a Debbie Downer but why is his offer list so short? Is it do to his early commit to Stanford?

I like Deeb a lot too. Kid is a really good ILB prospect IMO. He is a natural leader, intense, always plays 100% and seems a little more athletic than Carlo while showing the same penchant for run stuffing. I'm a fan.

Man I hope we get him. With him we would have a lot of depth and flexibility at OLB. Against smaller teams, imagine Randolph and Jaylon on the field at the same time. No way anyone gets outside of either guy.

If he were to commit here cold you imagine the possiblity of face 3 of the top 20 linebacker of the 13 class. i am not getting my hopes up jusr excited we have a chance.

I really think Mattingly could be in that discussion as well - being hurt at his event and not being able to fully participate hurt him rankings wise, but the kid is a stud. Will be a good player at either OLB, TE or possibly DE.

I would not be mad at all if Mattingly became a 2nd TE in this class.

At this point, the positional guessing game is almost an exercise in futility. Just look at last year for countless examples of guys who ended up at different positions than "projected."

I agree. But Randolph's skill set is quite different from Deebs, as a point of reference.

That is the biggest thing about this coaching staff I have watched over the last couple of recruiting years. They would love to have the "best" guy at a position, but most of the guys they go afterare such great athletes that they are not just pigeon holed into the single place their HS coach put them or the recruiting services rate them at. They look for the combination of speed and size that they can use at a position, but that would also work well elsewhere.

This is why I say for Randolph "yes, please I'll take one of those" and at the same time say "no, i don't mind a lovely side order of Deeb" because it appears that they see that there are a few places they can plug certain guys. I truly believe that is what drove him to take Collinsworth. He is not the prototypical anything, but he is a huge heart who is willing to do anything and throw himself in front of anything.

I am really not worried about where these guys end up.

And these guys shouldn't be either. Every position change that I can think of off the top of my head has worked out in the player's benefit.... Niklas is getting immediate PT at TE, same with Russell at CB, Farley at safety, and Riddick at RB.

Just sign up fellas and let Kelly and his crew find out where to put your big athletic self

Don't forget that McDaniels showed that his flexibility and willingness is working him into playing time, too! This is really important to keep in mind.
