As I mentioned in that post, I think 6 spots is a maximum regarding realistic possibilities, and that only assumes one medical. If we're considering two medicals, we could get up to 7, but why stop there? We could lose both Martin and Watt to the draft as well, which might bring us up to 9.

Oh yeah, I see what you did there. Assuming only one medical is safer and probably more realistic. I was calling 6 the max assuming two medicals and both Fox and Calabrese come back, but of course there's no guarantee of that.

There's no guarantee of anything. There's so much still in play and it's really just too early to know how many spots we have left.

Daaayyyuuummm,

He is visiting after the 15th of january the deadline for early entrants into the NFL Draft. So he will know Nix's status by then.

Keep the NT's coming. This kid put on quite a show in Oregon.

If he's 285 in that video that's freaking insane. He looks trim and is obviously super quick.

Do they ever do two-gapping drills in these camps? Vanderdoes is obviously a monster pass-rusher, but that makes me think he might be a better fit in a 4-3.

Sometimes they will put another lineman next to the guard to act as the center but they very rarely have the second Olineman do any blocking its more for space purposes. Could be wrong but have watched a lot of these videos.

I'm pretty sure he could do both very, very well.

And what do you know...we do both.

the video is impressive*...who are the guys he is going against? the center in that video doesnt look like he could stop anyone.

the video was impressive nonetheless...it reminded me of the Jay Hayes video; Hayes as an OL was dominating others in much the same way.

*I hate watching videos of dominating guys who are committed somewhere else

I feel like I was watching child abuse in that video. Talk about a mismatch.

I was skeptical of his interest at first but setting up an official gives me hope! Plus it's also nice to have the #1 team in America courting you! Double bonus is #1 Notre Dame rolling out the red carpet!

i missed all of the earlier discussion on this guy. Is he looking to decommit for any particular reasons? (other than the whole Lane Kiffin driving the program into the ground and losing games with elite talent thing).

Did we recruit him hard before he picked $outhern Cal? Is he interested in ND because we're a bunch of ****ing hardnosed ballers nowadays or for some other reason?

There was contact between our staff and Vanderdoes back in the spring, but he eliminated us early in the game. Denbrock got back in touch this week and then Vanderdoes decided to give us an OV instead of LSU.

I'm not aware of any particular reason he might be looking to decommit. He says he's firmly committed to USC, but he seemed to really enjoy his visit to UCLA and said the Bruins are "up there," and he's taking all 5 of his OV's, so I don't think he really is that firmly committed. He seems like he is legitimately looking around.

The only thing I read that raised my eyebrows is that he said if Orgeron goes, he goes. His interest in other schools may be a backup plan in case there is a staff shakeup at USC.
