That's a really encouraging post. Never a bad thing to have an extra hand in recruiting the state of Cali.

Considering last year Cali recruiting didn't end well. Getting two high profile five stars this cycle is huge. Could definitely open some eyes during the 14' class

Totally agree! Getting Redfield and Eddie can only help with our recruiting out there.

Posted a photo on IG of Tuitt with the caption:

"My Facemask next year... #Clean #ND #3 #GoIrish"

The pitch of playing alongside two first rounders in Tuitt and Nix was huge for us

There should be a formation with all the Justin Tuck-Facemask guys:

Shembo-Tuitt-Nix-Vanderdoes-Okwara = scary

Smith, Jones, and Day could very well become huge contributors too...
Our front 7 is looking awfully good!!

I love this, though I believe he is going to have his hands full during the season. from what I've gathered he has a pretty contagious personality.

We lose a great player in the front 7 but I expect they'll be better next year.

Te'o and Kappy will be missed but that's the way it is. We are in a very good place moving forward, just continuing with the groundwork laid.

LOL, I haven't forgotten! I am looking for someone to give some (honest) assistance in tracking down who was the first. With the whole IE and live feed freeze up, I wasnt able to be around when the first report came in, so I am hoping to get some help on it.

Ha just holding you accountable man! I know many worked hard to get your vbucks.

KLM was a good player and he represented Notre Dame with class but I don't think he will be very hard to replace. Yes, he showed great leadership but both Nix and Tuitt are better than him. I think a Day and Vanderdoes rotation will be more productive and disrupt more plays

Agreed. I fully expect the front 7 to be better this year than 2012. We can't discount the growth and development we'll see from Nix, Tuitt, and the LB's as well. I expect a huge leap in Tuitt's game.

Yea this kid has some serious baseball talent. In one of his interviews post signing they mentioned that he stole a fair amount of bases at 300lbs. However he also said that he's not going to be playing baseball this season because he wants to workout and getting ready for football this summer.

Random -- anyone else notice how much Vanderdoes looks like Jeff Faine? Seems to have the same personality too ... smart, talented, nice guy off the field, but "in a bad mood" on the field. Bodes well for us ... the Bro was a first round draft pick.

We didn't make his original top 15. TOP 15. Unfortunately for us this is not going to be an issue. Unless I'm missing something... And I know BK visited and there's been contact but I don't think it matters.

It feels soo good to be wrong (this was back after his tweet about being in contact with the coaching staff)

Agreed, to piggy back off that does anyone else think his dad could be a Harbaugh brother? Looks like it to me!

Great read. Really exciting to think that him and Day could split reps. Both will be able to play 100%.

Personally I'm not. He's already made a lot of comments with reporters on this topic. So has his dad.

No one is concerned that some MLB team might offer EV a $3m contract to play baseball? Figured this would have generated at least a little hand-wringing.

"My mom's friend is a scout for the Yankees" doesn't seem too legit to me. Eddie just seems to be having fun with the concept and basically shut down the idea himself

It never ends... Lol!

Eddie's not going to be playing baseball, he's going to be pillaging running backs and tormenting QBs in a stadium near you.

he is committed to football. The 247 article I posted a few posts up says he stopped going to baseball showcases after his sophomore season and isn't playing this spring. His dad is the coach at his HS and said that EV was never really passionate about baseball, he just did it because he was good. Didn't really put in the work necessary like he did football. Also said the worst he can do with football is get a degree from Notre Dame, while a young pitcher trying to move his way up through the minor leagues has a lot of potential negatives. Obviously $3 million could change that, but that isn't an official offer and there doesn't seem to be much interest in baseball.

I'm not worried at all. Was just surprised to see something like that posted without anyone getting nervous about it. Good sign, I suppose.
