I'm always pro adoption. Plenty of more than fantastic dogs/cats in need of a home who you can find at the shelter.

Way to go Ronnie. Sounds like his teammate was a big advocate in the matter as well...definite kudos to him.

most definitely! my wife and i have volunteered at adopt a pet and fostered cats and adopted one ourselves.

Puppy farms are atrocious businesses, don't ever buy from them, adopt instead

Great to see. Went to Indy yesterday to watch him play against the Colts. Only played the first half but had a really good game.

How has Nick Martin been doing? It's a good year to have a new grad on your team by the looks of it.

Does anyone think this really helps draft stock for all ND Linemen? Two straight LTs head straight in the league and immediately start, while snapping necks and cashing checks. I know Tom Cable has bemoaned the spread offense for giving college OL shitty technique overall, but Heistand knows what the fuck he's doing and has quickly turned us in to OL U

How did he do in his first NFL start? Did a google search for grade/review of first start, but couldn't find anything.

What a baller. He'll be selected to the pro bowl with those numbers right? or was his running blocking abysmal?

Uhhh, no. Pro Bowl voting already happened. If you mean as an injury or Super Bowl replacement it's still highly unlikely. He had 6 great games and 6 pretty abysmal games by that figure, also missed 4 games due to injury. Closed out great but still overshadowed by fellow rookie Jack Conklin who is a pro bowl alternative as of now.

If he plays in '17 like he did to end the year he should be poised to make a run at a slot next year.

I think what you saw was a rookie adjusting to the pro game as the season went along. I suspect, he'll be better and more consistent next season.

Out of all tackles in the league best pass protection in final six games is ridiculous!

That's a nice grouping.

1. Notre Dame man.

2. Former ND commit that left after better player committed to ND.

3. Regional guy who would have been Irish if ND offered... because no one else did even though he was a Michigan legacy. Forced to walk on at Tractor Tech.

It's not only the drafting success of ND OL in the Hiestand era that's impressive. What really stands out to me is the hit rate on our offensive linemen. Think about how many of those Bama 1st round OL like Kouandjio, Chance Warmack, DJ Fluker, Andre Smith... a lot of those guys haven't really been hits

you could argue that getting 1st round picks is more valuable in recruiting than having guys who have long careers in the league. Kids have short memories.

Tough to play in the league if you are too dumb to understand protections
