Below that, he goes on to say Matthias will be starting for the Colts. Really happy Matthias has proved me so wrong.

He sure is a character, but a really good dude.Never thought he got the credit for how he played at ND...I think it was 2013 where everyone got on him, but he was playing hurt the whole year.

Oh, Gregggg. I'm sure he'll gush over Farley, while still finding ways to get in subtle jabs at ND.

The "interesting" part of the interview will be Farley talking about getting hookers/paid/etc. in college from coaches. It is getting to that time of the year for something....

I'm the opposite...big fan of Dackich and listen on my commute every day. Not a fan at all for Doyle and do not read. When he is on Dackich I usually change the channel.

And then you have Indy radio, all schmucks. Dackich, JMV, Query and Schultz, etc. Dudes all sound like high school kids on a ham radio. So low energy.

I agree, they all try to stir the pot to get ratings. Dackich I like to hear his perspective but that's about it.

Drafted him in my Dynasty IDP league. He's been really good. My best S above Malcolm Jenkins, Bethea, and Darian Stewart. 3 guys that are legitimate NFL S's.

It’s actually insane how far he’s come since high school.

Right, wasn't he a soccer player up until his Junior year or something? He was good under Diaco when he was healthy. Similarly to most guys on D, BVG happened

Never questioned Farleys effort when he was at ND. He was the hardest working guy out there. Glad to see he got the start tonight.

That's not what many posters were saying a few years ago. He was the fan's whipping boy that Watkins is today.

Two years ago IrishJayhawk noted :

Farley was Schmidt before Schmidt was.

From this very thread...

Hopefully he's just depth next season.

He has been blown up on outside blitzes... he has turned away from tackles... he has tried to tackle from his knees. He has given his all for ND, but frankly, it's not enough for me.

This is all to apparent in the RB situation. TF is clearly the best back lining up behind Tommy. Yet for some reason, the keep lining up GAIII out there throughout the first half. It should be Cam 45% TF 45% GAIII 10% for running plays. BK and his staff are far too loyal to the seniors and it's hurting the team. That's my only complaint about this staff.

I'm happy Farley is playing so well, I was also a detractor when he played injured. I'm happy to eat crow and say he's impressed me with his continued ascendence.

Hope he locks down a safety position.

He was something of an after thought with the Colts until injuries and Green's safety gave him a chance to play. He's getting better every game. One of the comments is that while he's not the fastest or strongest, his football IQ is what's keeping him on the field.

Always liked Matthias. He struggled to get his instincts to where they had to be for pure safety (but basically everybody did in that cringeworthy era post HSmith and Zeke.) When he became our nickel back, i thought he was All-American there and on special teams. Way to go, Warrior!!

He said when healthy. End of 2013 he was not healthy.

iirc he was healthy through 2014 and there was still some folks who wanted him to be the scapegoat then.

Does anyone remember if he played WR his whole redshirt year? What a difference that could have made if he was D from the start.

This guy and Okwara (who doesnt appear to be playing as much this year, anyone know why) are some interesting cases at ND who have gone on to hold their own in the NFL.

Now that the line has been upgraded, let's hope out QB can get, and stay, healthy. If so, I think a big step is a given.

I agree. I think Nelson won't only be a bad ass but will also lift the play of his fellow lineman.

I know Luck has guaranteed he'll play game 1 but I'm not pessimistic how good he'll be...
