Isn't it about time the Patriots treated Brady good and got him a legit receiver and/or running back to work with? He hasn't had shit since Moss and I don't even know who the best running back he has worked with.

Well, while I'm happy the Patriots got him, I hope more than anything else that the culture helps him get his head on right.

At this point you can't even really argue that the Patriots do not have a track record of keeping former problem children in line, even helping reform some. So while I agree with you that introspection and self-awareness are going to be key for MF, I think the environment has the potential to help keep him on track as well.

I wasn't arguing anything about the Patriots. I think it's wonderful the Patriots are so altruistic.

Floyd's gone through three phases of his life, high school, college, and career. Sadly there's been a common denominator as a teen, as a young adult, and now as an adult. Each time he claimed he learned a lesson, drew a line in the sand, beat his breast with contriteness, and then repeated the behavior. It's his behavior.

Pretty f'd that he winds up getting a promotion after a DUI. Win at all costs though I guess.

wow. hope he gets his shit together.

he's in football heaven now. if this doesn't rejuvenate him and make him want to change, nothing will.

he just got handed a last chance going to an 11-2 team lead by the best coach and QB in the entire freaking league.

most guys get their last chances in bottom of the barrel, piss poor situations.

if he has his head on straight- he's winning a Super Bowl. He can be the guy to help get them over the hump. Especially with the way Hogan is playing. Amendola and Edelman are always going to be a problem in the middle of the field. But Hogan has become a real-life deep threat- something they were missing badly. Floyd can do it all.

Easily the 2nd most talented WR that the Pats have ever given Brady. This is huge and bad news for the rest of the league.

Exactly. He's not going to NE for rehabilitation, he's going there to play football.

I give him a week before Belichick sees that the physically skilled side is grossly outweighed by the lazy, selfish, self-destructive side.

Really hoping this off-season he signs a 1-year deal with New England. All bias aside, it would be his best career move IMO.

Obviously he f'd up in Arizona, but he was dead in the water there. This dui could be the best move he ever made. I hope Niklas can get the hell out of there.

NE gets a mid round compensatory pick if they don't re-sign him in the off season. Smart move by NE even if they don't re-sign or play him.

That just can't be right. They weren't the ones who drafted him, have played him for years, or even paid for more than half of his salary this year.

Believe they said since he was a 1st rounder, will finish his contract with NE, they'll get it if they don't sign him. Smart move.

Don't be surprised if the Pats see this and release him. Or, maybe they already saw it. Who knows. I just know that level of pissy drunk comes when you're 16 and drink for the first or second time. Dude couldn't make words, nor could he understand them. Damn dude, just called a freaking uber.

Those cops are racist. He looked perfectly fine to me. He was just tired and pulled over for a nap. I didn't see them do one sobriety test. Racist...when will this country change with these racist cops?

Love the ND hat...SMH

Ha. First thing I noticed too.

Seriously though, this sucks. The guy's clearly got a problem. He's also all got the football talent in the world. Seemed like he had a pretty good situation in Arizona, too. At least until this year. I always remember a story I read when he was ND about his mom - single mom, a nurse or something - hauling on a bus across Minneapolis every day to get him to the very good high school he attended.
Rooting for him.
