Run All Night - Liam Neeson was great as usual, and I really liked the rest of the cast. I was surprised. I hadn't heard anything good about it, but it was a pretty suspenseful. I like the cynical edge to the screenplay. It really made this movie more memorable, with the casts talent, than an average action yarn.

But the really good movie, with a great cast, too, was Remember. Just came out to no acclaim, but really was quite good. Can't say another word about it. But give it a try.

From the 1:20 mark to about 3:10... such truth, that's pretty much why I hate on today's Hollywood as a general rule and refuse to see any of this comic book/ reboot/ remake garbage...

I finally got around to watching the The Big Short. I work in banking, so I wasn't in a hurry to bury myself in another story from the housing crisis. But wow... I loved this film. They did a great job of showing how deep the bubble went. From government to mortgage brokers to the bankers themselves. I also loved the way they broke the 4th wall with several characters.

Just a completely unique piece that is tremendously acted by the industry's very best. 5 thunderclaps and a woolybug snap.

I just got around to it as well. It was lit fam. Normally during a movie with that kind of stuff going on, I'd have to stop it several times to explain to my girlfriend what the heck is going on, with their cameos and 4th wall deals, they saved me a lot of time as it made it understandable for a regular person.

I'd go ahead and put it in my top ten or so movies I've seen in the past decade.

Will wait until it's on DVD or a premium channel, but I can tell you, there isn't anyone in that film that can come close to Bill Murray.

If you're a Godzilla/King Kong fan then you'll like this. A new KK movie is coming out in 2017, a new Godzilla is coming out in 2018, and then King Kong vs. Godzilla is coming out in 2020.

Godzilla Vs. King Kong: When They'll Fight And What We Know - CINEMABLEND

I'm gonna nerd out for a second:

I grew up watching a lot of the cheesy Godzilla vs (insert other monster) movies, and absolutely LOVE King Kong, BUT:

KK is 25 feet tall, and has no special abilities other than being an abnormally large gorilla. Godzilla is 300-400 feet tall, can breathe fire, and has radioactive powers.

In summary, a "true" KK vs Godzilla fight would look like Mike Tyson in his prime against an infant.

If you're into the Hard Knocks type shows, All or Nothing on Amazon Prime follows the Arizona Cardinals all throughout last season and Last Chance U on Netflix follows Eastern Mississippi Community College through a season. Both are great

I bet the produces nearly shit themselves with excitement when that fight broke out. But it's a great program at EMCC, one of my teammates from highschool is on the show after getting kicked out of his dream school for some pretty bs reasons, but he now gets to play for a D1 program again.

Wife and I have been watching Stranger Things this weekend, really like it.

I really liked it at first.
Made me feel nostalgia for 80's Spielberg films.
Unfortunately the more you watch the more noticable the horrible acting.
The older brother and W Ryder are particularly bad.

Saw Cloverfield Lane 10 or whatever it's called, and thought it was stupid.

Saw 'The Invitation' that also has good ratings and is now free on netflix, and thought it was stupider.

I rescind the invitation to my stranded island. I love the movie, thought it was fantastic.

The Big Short was also great, so now I'm #teamWooly

Just watched these three over the weekend. Recommend all three.

Concussion:
Very good, very solid. Would have liked to have had them dig deeper into the inner workings of the NFL, but a good movie.

Dirty Grandpa:
LMAO..........Hard to go wrong with Bobby D movies. Definitely a sophomoric type of comedy, but I liked it a lot of them. Don't watch with kids! lol

Spotlight:
Very good movie about the sexual abuse by priests in Boston. Unbelievable how deep this went and the cover up to hide it. One time it makes you feel ashamed to be a Catholic.

Just watched a hilarious comed called Bart got a room. It's about this Jewish high school senior living in the Jewish community in Miami Beach desperately trying to land a date for the prom. Check it out. Great for a laugh
