can't argue with the kid's reasoning behind his top 10. seems like he's humble and understands the personal responsibility he has to pick the right school for himself. The props he gives to Georgia Southern is classy too. Reminds me of when Corey Robinson named Wake Forest as one of his leaders a few years back outta respect for Tim Duncan

He'll be in town on June 10th-11th, will be arriving at 9:30am on the 10th. Is coming with his father, mother, sisters, cousin, and cousins wife who are big ND fans. Clemson, OK, and ND make up his top 3. We're the only school under serious consideration that he hasn't visited.

Hope Tommy Kraemer and Liam reach out to him. They could build a pretty formitable wall/road-paver...I'm afraid to hope.

Loy mentioned that he thinks the staff will most certainly invite them to be on campus for his trip, he's just not sure they'll be able to make it. Both are scheduled to be on campus for Irish Invasion the following weekend and that would be a lot of traveling for both families.

Can someone please shed some light on that quote? Does he appear to mean that an ND education will protect you in the future or is it in the context of making big $$ in the NFL and not needing the 40 yr plan?

I expect the former but any assistance is appreciated. Thanks.

On the new 247 article it also says that there is confidence inside that the Irish could land Parker and Ben. Loy has a CB for both and Steve is feeling good about both. Clemson still leads for Parker at this point.

I think we land Ben, but I think Parker is a crap shoot. Seems like the confidence is based on (1) Parker's being a good kid, (2) his visiting, and (3) HH working magic.

I am in the miniority and do not feel that Boudreaux will be part of the class.

I am also probably in the minority and don't feel that his upside is too high. He is similar to the Braden Smith from the 2014 class that committed to Auburn. Sometimes, kids are simply too big and there isn't room for growth physically. That is a huge part of developing as an offensive lineman. I think Boudreaux and Smith are good players, but i simply just don't see either improving much overall in college.

He's been to Clemson a whole bunch and will probably only visit ND before he decides so if we win this one kudos to BK. But familiarity will most likely win out in this case like it does with many prospects

Assuming we land Bredeson but not Boudreaux, how do you think we proceed? Is there another big name we have a realistic shot at out there or do we sit pat with three and maybe reach on a guy later on?

Also, I've read from certain recruiting analysts that Bredeson is closer to 6'3" than his listed height of 6'5". Is there any truth to that and if so, does that mean Eichenberg is our only projected tackle in this class?

Great questions.

Notre Dame would be very happy with with "trifecta". I am sure if Boudreaux wanted to come they would take him. I also think that if you have those 3, Notre Dame can take a chance on a kid like Stewart Reese and develop him without any sense of rushing him onto the field.

I haven't seen Bredeson in person, but I don't think any school is concerned with his size. The thing about Eichenberg, Kraemer and Bredeson is all three can play G or T. I know the plan is to start Kraemer off at guard, but he can most definitely play tackle. I think Eichenberg is the only "true" left tackle build wise, but Zach Martin proved you can play LT with short arms and lack of typical left tackle size. Remember....this is college not the NFL. You can plug and play.

Also, you have Alex Bars in the wings, who has the size and length for left tackle. He will have three years of eligibility left when the 2016 class arrives. Personally, I think that is why ND isn't pushing for specific builds for the OL. They have guys that can play 4 and 5 spots along the line and that allows Hiestand to get the best on the field regardless of where they project in the NFL.

Like I posted the other day a very close race between ND and Clemson. Him and 6 members will be up to ND for a 2 day visit.
