And back to Hilliard. Just saw a CB came in for ND from the guy from varsitypreps. Don't know if he is any good, but thought I would try to get off the stalker/business school conversations.

Unclear why so many are so down on our chances with Hilliard. I agree it's no gimme, but it's got to be close. Why else would he keep coming back?

Because the momentum has swung to OSU over the last month+ ... when you're in the driver's seat, it's a waiting game. When you're in a fight, it's about who has the momentum to seal the deal.

But he keeps coming back to OSU and ND with OSU getting the last word, hence the uncertainty

Yep - momentum was swung back to OSU. And, when was the last time that Ohio lost the number one linebacker in the state to ND? Not saying ND loses but anything more than a 50/50 is a guess.

He's not gonna commit to ohio state just because they got the last visit. It will come down to the finer things. Him and his family will sit down and do what justin wants to do. But Saint X being a lot like ND in a sense and him wanting to major in business. We have a lot of things going our way, it's not all going OSU way because of 42 and the last visit.

I agree it's 50-50 and no more, but some around here are acting like it's 10-90. He seems to be seriously considering both schools, for their own good reasons.

The one thing I will point out about this is that why it's usually best to have the last visit, in this case he has been to both so many times, I am not sure it is as big a deal.

I feel the same way. He has a lot to weigh out over the next couple of weeks depending on when he makes his decision public. I feel like we put our best foot forward, so only time will tell.

Its not good to be 50/50 going into his OSU visit.

Better than 30/70 ... like others have stated, the last visit won't be the light bulb that finally goes off and he said oh yea! This isn't the typical recruit taking 5 officials and needing those visits to help make a choice... He's been to each school 100 xs, an immediate commitment is unlikely

Ha must've posted that as I posted my last response ... I completely agree, I was just saying why there's "uncertainty"

Now if there's an in home before his choice and this was January, id be nervous if we didn't get to close it out with the last word

What?

We have posters on here that go to ND. I mentioned who he was hanging out with, if someone posts 'yeah, I saw them out bowling', or 'saw them at a party, they were having a good time'. Great.

If not, great.

I'm not on a recon mission, or even looking for answers. Simply mentioning it in case someone cares.

I don't see the need to get all dramatic and go over the top, but maybe it's 'jump down someone's throat Saturday'.

Please stop switching your avatar all the time it drives me nuts when people switch.

I will say it again. I think Justin and his parents know their decision. I think this is just vetting process we are in. I think everyone important (eg, not us, or Bucknutz or whatever), knows this weekend.

After talking to some people, Im 99% sure Hilliard doesnt know where he is going. Could he have told BK on his trip he isnt coming...sure. But to the people that outside of BK, he comes off as undecided. I think that ND helped themselves this weekend and I think that he has a lot to ponder as far as what kind of college experience he wants.

I mean its simple as that. Both schools offer him good options on and off the field. Campus life differs. The people differ. Thats what its going to boil down to. I think he knows he is a Notre Dame kid and fits there and he knows he has a chance to rep for his home state. The good thing for ND is that Cincy isnt a overly pro ohio st area.

The other thing to keep in mind is that while he has handled his recruitment beyond his years and done everything the way you would like to see a recruitment. This one will not be over when he verbals. I know he isnt the type to decommit based off his extensive research in each school. And I dont think he understands that his recruitment wont be over, but BK/Urban arent going to stop recruiting him.

I feel like if Hubbard never pans out and never makes a single significant play at OSU, you'll still say this.

Is Sam going to be your #MCM too?
