"Young and the Restless"
"As the Dome Turns"
"Our Lady in Waiting"

This stuff is definitely good for a daily youtube channel show.

Young and the Reesless

Just got to a computer today - all I can say is wow.

Took me a few seconds to figure out the thread title. Thought it was the Predator self-destruct countdown timer at first.

*Either are fitting unfortunately....

I just can't get over the drama. Craziest recruitment ever.

I hope it's VT. At least Beamer Ball would be good for his abilities.

ahhh recruiting....where you stand depends on where you sit.

i always thought he was a bit slow, and besdies all the drama of his recruitment i dont think he would have lasted at ND. :)

It is a bold statement, and I'll qualify it by admitting I've only followed recruiting closely for the last 5 years or so. Also bears mentioning that the rise of social media and the 24-hour news cycle put current recruits under greater scrutiny than ever before.

I think it's at least plausible, though. Would love to hear counter-examples if you've got 'em.

Well it seems like his situation just wrapped up,,,, unless he gets on that plane tomorrow... LOL.

Personally, I thought the on, off, and on again Tuitt situation was wildest to me. The Neal thing was pretty crazy too. This one,,,, I really didn't expect a lot in the first place due to the early grade issue, and a lot of folks saying it will never happen. I also heard Lax's voice in my head saying "head case, head case, head case"..... I mean I have several voices in my head, but I think it was Lax's :)

IMHO, this reaction of IM's to be hesitant to go on his OV and meet with academic advisers indicates concern on his part that his academics still might be an issue.

Just to be clear, the meeting with the advisers is something every recruit has to do at some point prior to signing day. Most do it on their OV. It wasn't a condition we were imposing just on McKenzie or anything like that.

Got it, thanks.

So advisers at Nd are just like hookers at Ole Miss....

Pretty simple, if he doesn't want a free trip to his future school... it's not his future school.

I can only imagine how frustrated Alford is about this situation. A little bit of a slap in the face from IM.

I was thinking the same thing. All the time he invested in this kid ... I mean I know it's his job and he's a professional but wow.

Very interesting tidbit from Pete Sampson is that he is hearing that the HC at American Heritage is upset and frustrated with Isaiah over how this whole situation played out, not ND.

That is huge, as it is imperative to keep a good relationship with that school, staff and prospects moving forward. Also pretty telling as to who is perceived as 'in the wrong' here.

Loved Pete's earlier quote: That recruiting should be a means to an ultimate desired end, and that IM has seemingly put the means and process over the result. Shame.

I assumed that this was the case and I was hoping something like this would get out. So, future prospects understand what really went on. Like you said its very important to keep this relationship for the future.

Really nicely put by Pete, and apparently accurate. I can't say for sure but, reading into it, it seems to me that IM is throwing away a shot at the school he really wants to attend in a temper tantrum over taking a last OV. If that's the reality of the situation, very immature, you know?

If the coach is upset with Isaiah though, it makes me wonder if he might lean on Isaiah to apologize and take the visit to ND after all.

But really, at this point I just want to move on from this recruitment. I almost hope that he has really eliminated us for good.
