HS teammate of Michael Deeb. Alford watched him and the rest of his teammates workout this spring, and afterward talked on the phone with McKenzie. Told him to come up to visit and workout at ND, and an offer could possibly be coming. Will visit June 11. This is per ISD's recruiting notebook.

There seems to be alot of guys being recruited by D1 schools from American Heritage...but maybe thats just me used to being around small Indiana high schools haha

Pretty sure there are 2 schools in Florida named American Heritage that consistently put out D1 talent. I watched an American Heritage game on ESPN last year thinking I'd get to see Deeb tear it up. Idk how long I watched wondering where the hell Deeb was until I figured out it was the other American Heritage.

That would make sense then. I was gonna say, if there was one school loaded with that much D1 talent they should practically be a lock to win state

Was set to decide between UK and WVU but recent offers has delayed that it looks like. Anyone if he's visited before? Article from last year saying he was going to unofficial to ND.

His visit on the 11th is him coming up with Deeb who is reporting for camp that day. Jake Brown said he actually has quite a few offers but doesn't like the media attention so he doesn't report them

Deeb called him "insanely explosive" when speaking with Jake Brown.

That's refreshing.

Yeah don't get the rating. I wonder if he has offers from the big three in state schools. I know they're not listed but he supposedly hasn't reported all of them. If they haven't offered him you have to wonder why not. Oh well, if BK and co. decide he's good enough then let's sign him up.

Said he may just commit if we offer. Doesn't care where he plays (CB/WR/RB) and said he will play wherever the coaches put him.

Can't watch the youtube in the OP, so sorry if this is a repeat of that.

Isaiah McKenzie - Highlight Videos, Schedule & Roster - Hudl

His highlights are no less than spectacular. Super fast, shifty and even a solid hitter on D. How this kid is a three-star, I have no clue. Dude is legit and I would be very happy if he popped on his visit.

What's up with the youtube in the OP, it was just working for me? I'll throw this hudl link in there, thanks for posting it.

Really hope they offer. With more open spots for this years class I think we should be looking for quality 3 and 4 star kids that want to be at ND. Then, let the high 4 and 5 star kids take their time.

Love that attitude. That + his highlight tape + the Deeb teammate / pipeline factor = a happy Ironman if Isaiah commits.

Couldn't agree more. Worst case scenario is he's a very good special teams player.
