A new :s::s::s::s: top 247 prospect (Overall #241, WR #31) in the updated rankings:

Isaiah McKenzie, WR, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage
On a team with a 247Composite five-star 2014 running back (Sony Michel) and a 2015 Top247 five-star quarterback Torrance Gibson, the 5-foot-9, 167-pound McKenzie may be the most dynamic playmaker for his team this season. He has elite quickness and speed and could project long-term as a return specialist. West Virginia or Notre Dame are the two best bets in his recruitment right now. He has long been considered an Irish lean, but the Mountaineers are trending.

The report by Ryan Bartow that called McKenzie a heavy WVU lean was in a article that pretty much states a bunch of guys are leans to certain schools based on sources. Now Bartow actually visited American Heritage and talked to McKenzie and changed his crystal ball to ND.

What is TP hearing that all these other guys aren't? Seems like TP is one of the very few that is predicting him to go elsewhere.

I understand that, he needs to take his SAT and get an acceptable score. I'm sure there's more than that, it's just weird that 90% of the crystal ball is still Notre Dame

TIFWIW, Loy said the other day with some conviction that it's not academics he just needs to take the ACT or SAT and get an acceptable score.

I'm hoping he comes here, but I'll just wait and see.

To be totally honest, I trust TP's opinion a million times more than that goof Loy. That guy is the worst.

Ryan Bartow the 247 writer that said WVU was the leader for Isaiah conducted an interview with McKenzie. McKenzie tells him that ND is still his favorite and the reasons why. He goes on to talk about what he likes about his top 5. ND, Rutger, WVU, Cincinnati, and Kentucky. The bolded is the top 3 in order. He will take all 5 officials and look to decide in January. What will go into his decision? School is first. Then the environment that I'm in. I don't want to be in a high crime rate area. I want to be comfortable where I am. Rutgers and Kentucky are recruiting him for CB and WVU, UC, and ND for slot WR.

That would be a stupid good wr class. A solid to elite player at all three receiver positions. Kids from Florida, Cali, and Indy.... Touching all over the states for an elite class at this position is what makes ND great. Hope it works out.

It would be fantastic to see such a haul...

But then que the transfer rumors lol.

Daniels, C.Breezy, Prosise, Robinson, Onwualu, Fuller, Hunter, Brent, Holmes, McKenzie, Quick. That's a lot of depth at WR.

McKenzie would not be the one to transfer; he will be our punt returner from day 1. ;)
