Some OL/DL highlights from Stanford's camp yesterday. I thought Hoge looked good and was more impressive than Ross Pierschbacher, the #5 OT in the 2014 class according to 247 composite rankings.

Not surprising. There's been a lot of talk about "when was the last time ND pulled a player out of Louisiana", but I'd venture to guess the answer to "when was the last time LSU pulled a player out of Idaho" is NEVER.

Hearing ND leads after his Stanford visit is about as good of an update as we could of expected. He should be ND by season's end.

To be fair I doubt LSU tries to pull many players out of Idaho haha. Hopefully we have got one from LA in Tillery though.

was that based solely on undergraduate academics or was it based on overall experience, including graduate studies? Just curious since I have seen rankings that take everything into consideration and is not based purely on academics.

Let's not do the academics thing in this thread. It's been done to death (I know, I'm probably the biggest offender on here). I'll be deleting post on academics from this one onwards.

Crazy to me that Florida is going after kids from Idaho instead of focusing on SEC country. Hoge sure seems to be considering schools of all different types... ND to LSU to Stanford to Florida... in the end, I think/hope we win this battle.

Well, to be honest, predicting Hoge to commit is really not that far of a leap. Maybe the timing is a leap, but from what I have read here and other sites, ND is the clear leader for Hoge.

Per TV, they've heard that another team would have to start parting waters in order to take the lead from ND. He talks to Hiestand multiple times a week. Hoge is expected to decide very early in the process and he already has his parents blessing to pull the trigger for ND any time he wants. May make a visit to UCLA first.

Per ISD, "LOVING" his visit and Christian added that while he's not yet been put on commitment watch, he feels as strongly as ever that Hodge is Irish in the end.
