Would USC take Vanderdoes, Bigelow and Robinson at DT?
Orrrrr does that say something about their confidence in keeping Eddie??
May be Durham Smythe
Christian confirmed that it is Smythe.
The Turning Point @turningpointnd
Interesting developments on the #recruiting front. #NDTrain
So if I am understanding the most recent posts here, TP's tweet above has nothing to do with Sythe's decommit, as it appears he is not decommiting to get on the "NDTrain"?
He would not be getting on the train even if he wanted to
Exactly my point, so maybe there is some other positive news brewing...

There has not yet been official word if Smythe is no longer considering Texas, or if he's just decommitting to explore his options. However, the rumor is that Smythe is done with Texas and won't be heading to Austin. Stanford and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have been mentioned as strong possibilities.
Smythe is a huge loss in the class, as Texas has been searching for a reliable tight end that can both block effectively and be an asset in the passing game. Smythe is considered an above-average pass catcher, and the hope was that he would be able to blossom into a good blocking end as he developed at Texas. As for now, it's back to the drawing board for the Longhorns.
With a limited spots we have. I really, really don't want to use it on a tight end that wont sniff the field until he is a Junior
Let me guess, you called Russell starting at corner and Neal getting virutally no P.T. other than punt return too?
It isn't the flashy name, but if there is a spot at the end of the year I am for it. He runs solid routes and catches well in traffic.
How has Welch's recovery/rehab been? Maybe there is a reason the staff is reaching out to Durham.

No, I thought he was a great get but I had no idea where he would play. We are drowning in talent at TE especially with with surprising play by Niklas, I just don't see him playing for a couple years if he did come here. I would much rather take Hollins who could be in the rotation by the time he is a sophomore
Disagree. Koyak has shown nothing, Niklas has a ways to go before he is a complete TE, and Heuerman is a complete unknown, plus who know what Welch's status is.
