TP is great! I truly believe he is in the know and gives us all hints as to what's going on. I also believe he does this in a manner that is respectful to the kid so that no glory is taken away from the moment. Some people see it another way, that's fine and they are entitled to their opinions but at the same time I'm not quite sure why some take it so personally. If TP's hints or predictions end up turning out different, he always gives an explanation of what happened. All in all his tweets and posts are something I look forward to and it keeps us buzzing!

This is the key and I think this is the cause of the majority of the doubt.

Oh I have no doubt that he has some inside info, I just have an issue with the cryptic nature sometimes. He's improved a lot this year on that front. I don't mind him saying buzz buzz or whatever (though he could just say "Hearing it's going well tonight" or something similar), I got more frustrated last year when he'd openly bait people by posting that "We have kids coming in that are better than (insert high 4 star here)" and just disappear without any indication of who he was talking about, timeframe, etc. Thus plunging the board into a hysterical guessing game for hours/days/weeks/two damn months.
That said I like his info, as long as he makes it clear who or what he's talking about. He is also a true ND fan, which is apparent in his posts, and often comes up with cool projects like the PTHF videos. He seems to be the same as most guys with info, but he buys into the "mysterious recruiting guru legend" bit more than others.
(This is as much as I'll say. Because otherwise there will be ten-to-twenty replies saying that they really appreciate him and his info and that I should shut up because I'm just a gif-posting cave troll.)

Me too, but it's the way you have to do this. If it gets out, and your source sees it, you become an outsider. Circle of trust thing. Besides it's more fun this way if you ask me!

Whether you're a troll or not, you're a Braves fan, I accept you.

Seems a fair assessment.

I went from attacking TP last year to collaborating with him on a daily basis on ways to excite and entertain this fan base, university and football team.

The sources are legit and the respect TP has for them is why he continues to get the information before anyone else. Most of the time a "buzz buzz" or a smiley face is all he can give without ruining someone's moment or disrespecting someone's wishes.

He's not trying to be the "mysterious recruiting guru" or troll the fans in any way. He's not looking for people to praise or kiss his ***. TP is out there hustling and networking for free, in his spare time and working to build something special. And providing the fans with some inside info, for free, when he can, in the form he can.

I know I say he, but The Turning Point, in fact, is not even just one dude. Everyone involved, including myself, are DIE-HARD. I wouldn't spend countless hours and sleepless nights editing ND videos for something/someone I didn't believe in.

I realized last year I got pissed off at the buzz buzz stuff because I was wayyy too into recruiting and let it control my emotions.. It's fun, not serious and IMO, TP makes it all that more exciting.

This is the most important point for me. When TP posts "buzz buzz" or something similar I enjoy seeing members of the forum try to figure out what he could be talking about it and it beings a bit of extra excitement to recruiting.

If people actually get really annoyed with what TP posts then maybe they just take this a little too seriously.

Okay, I have a question. There is a defensive tackle de-committing from Texas, does it look like he is committing to USC?

I have a second question. Does this help us with Eddie?

What are the odds of hearing any commitments before the All American games?

Don't really care if as long as we don't get any bad news until then. Although I do love good news.

i'd be surprised considering the four guys we're still going after (aqm, max, folston, and ev) are either announcing at their all star game or committed to another school)

plus the dead period running through the beginning of the all star circuit.

@Eddie_Rado:
The decommitment of Dalton Rodriguez leaves Oklahoma without an OL or DL commit in the class of 2013.

Wow. We would be absolutely freaking out if that were us.

Was reading somewhere the other day that the rise of Texas A&M with have a small impact on University of Texas but a major impact on Oklahoma. And yes we would be freaking out. Especially because usually the higher quality kids wait until closer to NSD but from what I've read they're not in on a lot of elite Dlineman or Olineman.

Perhaps Stoops needs to refine his approach:

Has anyone else noticed that OL seem to commit earlier in the process than any other position group?

Not an OK fan, but why is their recruiting down this year? They had a good season and are always in the top 20. Stoops seems like a good coach to play for.

I think Lucci may have been on the right track. Texas A&M has 34 commits right now, don't they? OU needs a few of those.
