If they don't this may be the first time ND would not be ranked with a record of 7-3
I believe there is a certain LB from Ohio that we are recruiting that is witnessing this beat down in Palo Alto.
Oregon makes everyone but the SEC look bad. I doubt this changes much for Odenigbo.

I fear that Stanford's imminent loss to Oregon will prevent us from jumping into the top 14 with a win over them. But they do look beatable.

Beatable by Oregon, not beatable by us.
And what will he say when the beatdown is on us again in 2 weeks?
Negative much? He won't be there to witness ND v Tree. No guarantee we lose that one.
We aren't at that level yet. I will give you all of my vbucks if its even close.
I mean even with Boise out of the picture, you have:
LSU
Okie Light
Bama
Oregon
Stanford
Oklahoma
Wisconsin
Nebraska
ACC champ
Big East champ
And Houston lurking like a vulture
that's all 10 spots right there, regardless of what happens.
Honestly, (and I may well be in a huge minority here) with our losses to USF, UM, and USC, I don't think we've earned a BCS game this season.
Don't get me wrong, I'd be shocked and elated if we did manage to pull it off, but with our body of work I'm not sure we warrant a berth with three losses.
I'd be more than pleased with winning out, 10-3, with a victory in a New Years Day bowl game.
What do you consider close? How about Stanford -13? If ND covers I'll gladly take your vBucks.
Depending on who we play, I don't even want to see us in a BCS bowl. I'd much rather play an ACC team in the Champ Sports Bowl than an SEC team in the BCS. We aren't good enough yet for a top tier SEC team, I feel we would probably end up embarrassing ourselves.
