Given ND's history of playing road games against teams with nothing to lose, I was expecting a closer fight.

I think we may be finally starting to shake-off the cloak of underachievement we're all so used to.

I loved the fact that they knew we were going to run and they couldn't do much about it.

That's a good point, but MD has shown some toughness that people don't give them credit for. They beat Miami, and only lost to WVU and Clemson by single digits. So they suck, but they aren't like a complete doormat.

Did anyone else notice when NBC was promoting the BC game they showed about 8 plays of BC winning and then only of ND? WTF is their deal man? I was half expecting them to edit the video to make it look like Flutie's Hail Mary was against ND. Does Hammond do the NBC video prep too?

After a week with some tragic stuff going on with my fiance's family this was nice to come home to. It feels good for things to be getting back to normal, bring on BC! Go Irish! :)

Back when ND and NBC inked the TV deal the local NBC affliate in Alabama refused to show ND games fearing a loss of sponsors and viewers. An independent station picked up the games and in the weeks before the season they ran a campaign to drum up business. They didn't interview ND fans but rather dozens of Bama fans still P.O.d over the Sugar and Orange Bowls, ND shutting out The Bear, and "stealing championships from Bama with the help of the Yankee owned media". The Campaign slogon was, "Tune in and watch ND lose. Notre Dame, the team Alabama fans love to hate!"

And the sad part is that the school itself still claims one of those Sugar Bowl losses as a National Championship. This is something I will never get over. If other teams counted national championships the way they do Oklahoma would have 100 and ND would have a million. But I digress.

I personally always claim 93.
