Flops. Flops everywhere.
typically, I would be for mexico, but I put down vBucks on Brazil to win the cup on home soil. (however, now I think Germany is going to steamroll the field)
This years Brazil team is turning out to be very weak compared to prior teams. Reminds me a lot of the 1994 team; slow, deliberate and controlling, and trusting the goal instincts of their forwards. Definitely not the usual attacking football that we are generally accustomed to.
Haha, I think I get what you are saying but I had to read this a couple times. I mean, Brazil won the World Cup in 1994, so it's a bit strange to say they are weak in one breath and compare them to the 1994 team in the next.
Italy have since adopted that strategy the last few cycles. If any team recently can hold onto a 1 goal lead, its them. Masters. The 1994 team was not known for constant attacking, not nearly in the same way their later teams with Ronaldino, Kaka and such were... they were a put you to sleep, and then stirke for one goal type of team... their calling card was the 1-0 win.
I think that's what he was going for.
Apologies for the confusion. Was in excitement mode when I posted that. I find the 2014 Brazil weak in the sense that they are not as good as advertised. After all the hype, a draw against Mexico and a controversial win against Croatia is not offering much in my opinion. However, their playing tactics reminds me a lot of the 1994 team. I think the coach back then is the technical director of of the national team if I'm not mistaken. Brazil can win the World Cup this year. It just won't be through exciting football that many, or at least I, expect. Anyways, that was what I was trying to say in my earlier post. Sorry for the confusion.Haha, I think I get what you are saying but I had to read this a couple times. Brazil played fine... there was a good save or two and the rest of their attempts went straight to the keeper... if they get a couple of those no one says anything...
it's very much like the Mexico Cameroon game... the fact that Mexico just pulled it out scared some... but they really outplayed Cameroon and could have easily won by a couple more goals...
it happens.
I'm fairly certain I could have provided as much if not more to the game than Fred did today. Did nothing but sit offsides
