It's not your gut, it's everyone. Even the ND podcasts say he's not coming to ND.

Did I miss a podcast? Because I haven't heard he's not coming, just that he's a national prospect and isn't a lock. Do they not still have a good shot at him?

Rivals from this week says that unless something changes, he's not coming to ND. He wants to do his own thing.

Gant, vann and mustipher will all be in this class. My gut is telling me st brown is going elsewhere

I would totally take that trade.

Honestly, while I think ASB is an awesome talent that I would be stoked to have, he isn't a transcendent player that will change our program. I have some serious concerns about his size on the next level as well. But even if he meets expectations, it's still not alone a pickup that changes our trajectory. The combo of Gant/Vann/PJ is a program changing grab.

That would be why. I don't care for the Rivals podcast so I hardly ever listen to it. Thanks for clearing that up

If we get our next commit before PSU does, that commit will push us to the #1 overall class ranking.

I wonder if that will entice someone to commit sooner than they planned? Would be exciting to be the one that puts ND over the top to take the #1 class.

Come on, Mustipher/Vaughn/Ryan Hayes.

But would you trade ASB for Gant only?

Regarding ASB's size, he's over 6-0 now. You can see it in the photos. He's grown 2-3 inches in the past year.

I'm with you on this one. With the jumbo (Jones) and the speedster (Lenzy) committed, they can afford to swing for the fences on ASB. If they get him, that's a great tweener to complement the skill sets of the other two already committed, allowing some flexibility at the position.

But if they swing and miss? Chances are some other stud is waiting to be the 3rd receiver in the class, eager to catch passes from Jurkovec. ASB doesn't doom the WR position to failure if he goes elsewhere (far from it, really).

(And of course, they could still swing for the fences on a fourth WR, and move Lenzy to DB)

There are so many good WRs in this class, and we already have 2 really good ones committed that compliment each other perfectly, that I think IE is making WAY too big of a deal about ASB just because we know so much about him.

Give me Brian Hightower and I'll forget ASB's initials by noon.

It's not his height I'm worried about. A 6'/165 receiver isn't really that appealing to me. Sure... we can pack on weight, he can get stronger, but is that really something you should expect from a five star WR?

Honestly... and I know I'll be blasted for this.... but I think we got the best St Brown. I think the other two are going to underwhelm.

I would take any of the three over him specifically because they are on defense. I'm by no means saying they are better overall prospects (although, I think PJ might be), but their position and our needs make them more important, imo.

Wide receivers are a dime a dozen.

I agree 100%. If the guy does not want to come, he doesnt want to come. Plenty of players out there that can catch a ball.

And it makes sense. Three sons, three different schools. Each doing their own thing as to not be little bro in big bros shadow.

Im not saying he isnt a loss but no one knows HOW BIG of a loss until we know. Guy could be a one and done for all we know. But either way, plenty of talent out there.

FWIW Rivals and 247 have him listed at 6'1 and between 187 and 190.

Then Rivals are a bunch of lying a-holes.

This is a recent picture from this offseason. EQ is 6'4".

I agree with this 1000% ... I really do like everything EQ has done for us, and can do for us in the future. The frame, the speed, the hands.... the kid is GREAT

IF ASB stays for 2018 i wonder how the parents will split up the time to watch all three kids. Gotta think Omra will be playing by his second year and Amon is a 5 star talent, he will pry see the field his first year.

...he should really think of his parents and come to ND.
