Historically, as a program, Michigan is top of my list, with USC as 1b.

Navy & Stanford are quickly gaining ground because I loathe both head coaches more than any other coaches in College Football.

Whatcha got against Ken N?

Which Program Do you Hate the Most

Someone needs to put together a JS highlight reel with the Benny Hill theme song playing.

* Back to hatred: I really hate pretty much everyone that was in the Big 8. Such scummy programs.

Switzer's Sooners were obviously the crown jewel of scum, but I always hated Nebraska worse.

Switzer at least owns his shadiness. Tom Osbourne still acts all righteous to this day, and he was about a big a turd as you can get.

He beats us and for some reason won't move on to a better program. He's made Navy into an actual threat that can completely ruin the season if they see us on the wrong Saturday.

1) Ohio State all day long.
2) Mich State (simply due to the years of them planting that flag midfield then when ND players went to plant at MSU, MSU wanted to fight. Gotta love #Thuglife). With that said, I still root for them vs Mich
3) UCLA - cannot give love to a liberal team from a liberal university with a scumball coach that has no honor
4) PSU- How can one every forget?

PS I want to add Stanford so badly,...so dislike their coach, their extreme liberal culture and the fact that ND folds up everytime they play but I respect the academics too much

Do we all hate USC less because the NCAA came down on them, set them back a couple of years, and they finally got (sort of) what was coming to them?

That's how I feel. Also, I think USC fans, albeit with their annoying in-game music, are less asshole-ish. The last ND-USC night game in South Bend, I jumped on a USC fan's back and yelled "Number 1" repeatedly. He didn't seem to mind that much.

I was blacked out so this is all second-hand information to me.

I know this is how I feel.. In 2005, I HATED usc.. the Bush push, the Sportscenter love of could this team beat every college football team ever talk, it was nonsense..

But after they got smacked down, I still dislike them, but my hate has moved on to other university's

Background needed here: 50ish from Michigan City, IN.

Before High School

1a. SC
1b. Ohio St.
2. Michigan St - I could sense older fans hated them and it rubbed off. So when your 2nd favorite team is UM, you have to dislike them, right?

- Grew up with Michigan as my back up team since I lived a block from Michigan and even Irish fans had to pick a side in the OSU/Michigan rivalry. My Dad and his buddies hated MSU from the 60's, my first game wasn't until '73 and MSU was on the down turn by that time.

HS & College

SC & U Miami

- With Michigan back on the schedule they weren't my back up team any longer... so my hatred of OSU went way down but I was way ahead of the hate The U crowd. The year they won the NC in '83 and shut ND out, they became my football version of Georgetown basketball. It went to warp factor 10 when I went to Miami U. There were only 3 teams that everyone watched there, Ohio St, ND and The U. Everyone rooted for OSU, 2/3 rooted for ND, 1/3 rooted against ND and EVERYBODY rooted against the Canes.

The Holtz Era

1. U Miami
2. FSU
3. SC
4. Michigan

- It was an Era of Hate. Every big game was for a NC. That's all you need to know. Hell, I still dislike Colorado and West Virginia too.

Young Adulthood

SC / U Miami / Michigan

- Equal parts I suppose, depending on who was good. Even with Miami off the schedule, I still hated them. I even made an unholy alliance with FSU rooting for them to beat The U every year.

Mature Adulthood

1a. SC
1b. Michigan
1c. Ohio State
2a. U Miami
2b. Stanford
2c. Bama
3. The SEC minus Vandy and this year's Gators
4a. BC
4b. Penn St
4c. Oregon
4d. FSU
5a. Clemson
5b. Oklahoma
5c. Nebraska

- Pretty self explanatory.

Finally... I must confess, I still root for Michigan over Ohio St. I'm stuck at 12 years old in that rivalry.

Aren't you supposed to hate LSU or Florida or something moreso than the northern schools lol

LoL.

My hatred of Michigan started after the Bo era. Can't stand them pricks and their coach now.

Ditto for Ohio State. We made his ass quit once and would love to make him quit again.

Fla St - the J. Winston saga and blowhard Jimbo make this one easy.

Aggies - Guess I hate their fans more than their program. God help us if they ever win an SEC title or a NC.

Auburn - They're family. Like the drunk uncle at Christmas. They're there because they belong... you just learn to ignore them.

Much respect for LSU and their program. Nothing better than to line up against a team that you know is going to come after you and try to knock your teeth out.

Fla - awww shucks. Jimmy Mc is hard to hate.

The first problem with Michigan is that their fans are assholes. They always almost laughably antagonistic for no apparent reason. None of our other regular opponents have fan bases that act that way. And there are many documented instances of them doing shit like sucker punching our fans in the face at away games that you just don't see at other away games.

The second problem is that their entire athletic program was founded on bigotry, and they still revere their bigots. They have buildings named after a KKK sympathizer who expressed literal hate for Catholics.

The third problem is that they traffic in bullshit. They've won half a title since basically the WWII era and yet they scream bloody murder about Notre Dame's "irrelevance." They haven't even won a conference title in over a decade while four other schools in their conference... including the school they call "little brother"... have won multiple. They claimed Notre Dame was "chicken" to play them (and lied about what other schools ND was still playing) while knowing full well we were trying to execute outs in basically all of our contracts to accommodate the ACC move. It all just adds up to a program I can't respect, at all. And we never should have let them back on our schedule.

This. There's no sweeter comeback than ending the series by shutting out scUM 37-0. But no. Jack had to put them back on the schedule

Makes sense. If we went by Aggie National Championship numbers, we'd have 47 NCs. I'm pretty sure Aggie has already claimed 12 SEC Championships too, despite only being in the conference for about 5 years.

I also would have liked to have seen the series end w/ a 37-0 win, but then I looked at what ND is getting (definitely got the better end of the deal).

1) First game of the new series is at home and it's the first game of the 2018 season. (could be good or bad, I will withhold judgment until I see how this season goes)

2). The second game is in mid Oct AND ND has a bye the week before while scUM is traveling to Penn St.

If you are going to bring the a series back, against a rival no less, those are two huge negotiating wins.

When I was at ND, I hated Michigan. That continued from the year of my graduation until 2009. That is the year that my son decided he was going to go to USC. Note that my daughter (my eldest) went to ND before him. Since that moment in 2009, I hated USC the most. That will continue forever. (With that said, I have to say the USC fans are pretty cool overall).

IMO we don't really play enough for me to "hate" them, even though they have owned us the last couple times.

Honestly I don't really care about OSU other than rooting for them against scUM every year.
