Have you read any of the books?? Fantasy is not typically my thing but I have thought about giving these a shot...

I haven't, but those who enjoy dark gritty fantasy seem to love them. There are apparently two collections of short stories (The Last Wish and The Sword of Destiny) in which Sapkowski introduces most of the major characters and does a lot of world building, and then five novels focusing on Geralt and Ciri. Might want to pick up The Last Wish and see if you like his style before starting on the novels.

I read the last wish. Was really good. I got distracted by another series around the time I read it though so I never continued the series.

I haven't played any of the previous installments, but Farcry 5 looks like it's gonna be dope.

Montana is a badass setting. Lush greenery, beautiful open fields, picturesque snow-capped mountain ranges, I assume some forestry, and the potential for unique small-town points-of-interest. It's a setting that will have a little bit of everything. That's awesome.

It also feels like the plot is a forgotten season of "Justified," and transported from Kentucky to Montana. I like that, too.

I work in education, so I could pass off any nefarious browser activity as "research" and avoid the hot water

I'm really digging the vibe of the setting. I hope it's has a mystery/detective aspect in the story.

More AC leaks yesterday. A shirt from a retailer was leaked, and it revealed the new protagonist, specific logo for this new game, and the date 49BCE was on the shirt. The date is a very telling detail. If this is 49BCE, and I remember my history, I believe the Roman Republic was falling apart and there was a civil war. Julius Caesar was the primarily belligerent in the conflict. Could this reveal that Ancient ROMAN game is next!? I fukin hope so!!!

They must be using the term "BCE" to piss off the Templars. Only losers use "BCE"and "CE"

I think that's right about when the Civil Wars were ending and Caesar was appointed dictator for life.

Edit: I was mistaken, that's right when the civil wars with Pompey began

I got balls deep into Europa universalis this weekend. I specialize in the slaughter of protestants and reformed Christians. I get a special satisfaction enacting Catholic policy as well. Great game

If this date and setting is true I am beyond excited, and the franchise just pulled this sucker back in.

I remember the last time I went about 2.5 inches into a game, I found a treasure chest.
