Ubisoft games are so meh. They do a great job at taking interesting concepts and locations and turning them into slogs lacking any personality or gameplay variety.
I freaking love For Honor. Gameplay hasn't gotten stale for me after 80 hours. The biggest (IMO only) issue with the game is the shit stability. It crashes way too much.Ubisoft games are so meh. Do y'all even parent, bros? Where do you find the time to spend on something like Witcher?

Yeah I've never looked at my stats before. I always assumed "I could never spend 100 hours on a game like The Witcher," but I'm at 225 hours on Overwatch, 80 hours on For Honor, 67 hours on Battlefront, and 22 hours on LEGO Star Wars.Yesterday:

LOL!
Just having fun... I'm in the same boat really. It IS hard to find time and I DO typically avoid games like Witcher because of the time involved. I got Witcher because it was on sale and I remember Whiskey and others ergasiming over it. I figure I can find time for one of these massive games every year or two.
Yeah there's a window of time between when my daughter goes to bed and my wife does whatever takes 45 minutes to do in the shower. Not much better to do.As long as it's not taking priority over the things in your life that actually matter, it's a pretty harmless way of diverting our competitive instincts. I don't apologize for gaming.

Maybe you are playing too many video games.

I missed this the other day, but boy am I hype.
I researched some supposed developer leaks from Reddit/4chan, and the game sounds nice. They are trying to eliminate the repetitive parts, so there's a new method of map discovery (though it will be repetitive no matter what, in some ways), and there will be a renewed focus on the modern-day gameplay, where it sounds like you get to do a bit more modern-day exploring to coincide with the historical storyline. There's a lot more to be excited about, aside from the badass setting (duh), but those first two points have me jacked up.
It supposedly takes place during the 5th dynasty (Old Kingdom), so the ancient Pyramids are relatively fresh, but that also eliminates some other interesting settings that don't come until much later.
However, there are rumors that the game is the first in a new trilogy, and the second game supposedly takes place in Greece. The main character is apparently the MC in the second game of the trilogy, so that means the Trojan War is out as a backdrop (unless the dude finds a Piece of Eden that prolongs his life), which is kind of a bummer. Also not sure what kind of landmarks were around in Greece at the time, but I don't think any of the "notable" ones would be in existence yet, so I'm curious as to how they make that setting exciting/relatable.
