I've still never had chick-fil-a... I'm smack in the middle of a chik-fil-a desert... the only one reasonably close is right across the street from my main campus but it's always, like always rocking a line ten cars deep... I can't wrap my mind around any fast food being worth that wait, so it's just never happened for me. Our school gave us Chik-fil-a gift cards for xmas.. mine has just collected dust in my office.

This is all true tho, it's hard to avoid with work and such... when I think fast food my mind immediately goes to McD's, BK, Jack, that dastardly place Wendy's... the obvious ones. I forget In N Out in that spectrum, which is an odd one for me bc I never do it for lunch, ever, we get it for dinner maybe once every few months or so... and then there is Mexican taquerias and burrito spots and if those are thrown into 'fast food' well then my post you just quoted is full of lies.

Chik-fil-A and In n Out are the undisputed kings of fast food in Arizona. There are better fast casual options, but you've got to have time to park, walk in and sit down. If a drive-through window is necessary, can't really do better than those two.

Don't be discouraged. Chik-Fil-A has perfected the art of operating an efficient drive-thru.

Ten cars is nothing to a well-run Chik-Fil-A. You'd be through that in 5-7 minutes tops.

Well, my great grandmother lived to 104 and she drank a shot of whiskey every single day. I'll stick with the leader in the clubhouse. ;)

Can't argue with that either. Pop is basically only a fast food thing for me. Otherwise it's water to stay hydrated or beer/ whiskey to unwind at the end of the day.

Diet Mountain Dew is my coffee at work.

One in the morning, one in the afternoon. The caffeine is essential.

I drink nothing but tea or water during the day... then at home it's Arnold Palmers, water, juice, beer or the rare Dr. Pepper... getting a drink aside from water at any eatery just adds up so quick if you have multiple people... my wife and I are on the same page there. Everyone gets water or does without a drink altogether. I'd be lying if I said we always followed this, but we typically do.

Seriously, this...

I have been the 3rd car at McDonald's or the 1st car at Burger King and had it take longer than being like 7th to 9th at Chik-Fil-A

Just went to one of many local burrito spots... I know everyone at this spot, I know they all speak English except for one girl... explain to me why she's the one that's working the window/taking orders today... sheesh, talk about trial by fire for that poor girl.

Also, going back to something that grinds my gears, Chiptole... this burrito I just had was bigger than a chiptole-hipster burrito, far better... 4.96 tax and all.

Chiptole, take notes:

My grandmother lived to be 105. She ate a hot pepper every day. New leader in the clubhouse. BOOM!

Try these puppies. Pretty darn good for a muffin. Chocolate Chip, Blueberry and Lemon are my favorite muffins.

Def agree. I'm also a big fan of Pete's Fish and Chips, but I find people either really like them or really dislike them. That red sauce is crack.

I went to grade school with Pete's granddaughter. That's good stuff. Unfortunately there's no Pete's near my office in Chandler.

In the town I grew up there was a mom n pop old school fish n chips spot. They served you the fish wrapped in newspaper. I have fond memories of that joint... it's been a Lebanese spot for years now.

Ate at the one on Apache in Tempe and was not impressed. TBH, that red sauce was the biggest turn off for me. Remember it being ridiculously sweet, and the fish was basically a rectangle shaped hash brown.

I do remember Haji Baba further down the street fondly though. The lambs tongue sandwich was great.

Chiptole, take notes:
On what planet is "bigger than a Chipotle burrito" a good thing? I believe you that your local burritos are better, but those Chipotle shits are enormous. I struggle to get through a whole one and I, too, am enormous.

My grandfather only lived to be 80, but he died of a massive heart attack about 60 seconds after having sex. Shortly after he was pronounced, my grandmother blurted out, "I knew this was going to happen. He wanted to do it every night." To hell with your peppers & whiskey. A good O face is worth checking out early for.

People who won't read the menu in a restaurant and instead just start asking "Do you this?" "Do you have that?" If only there was a handy guide available that lists all of the items on offer and includes ingredients and prices.

Even worse, those that stand in a long line, then only when they get to the front do they openly ask the question, 'okay, what do I want to order???'... those people should be killed.

I was eating at a diner in some Podunk town in CO on a fishing trip with a buddy. We got to a little diner after a night of heavy boozin' for some breakfast. But we were past the time for breakfast and the waitress refused to serve anything but lunch. So my buddy ordered the following:

Friend - "Can I get the Reuben with no sauce, no kraut and no cheese. The bread on the side, the home fries and is there any way I could add an egg on top?"

Waitress - "Sure hon"

Friend - "Great, a coffee would be nice too"

[/waitress walks away]

Friend - "That my friend... is how you order breakfast after 10am"

His plate came out and it was literally corn beef hash, an egg, toast and home fries.

I always want to ask Chipotle if they actually do the Quesarito, but I'm always too scared.

I just tuck my tale and get the regular burrito.

There's a scene in a movie (can't remember which one) from awhile back that has very similar dialogue.
