Costco's Poppyseed muffins are pretty solid. Not a big fan of fruit in baked goods.
Costco is #ForThePoors, but I know there are only like two independent local bakeries between Sacramento and Pittsburgh so I guess you people in the square states have to take what you can.Costco's Poppyseed muffins are pretty solid. Not a big fan of fruit in baked goods.
If you wanted to torture me to get state secrets, feed me nothing but chocolate muffins... I'll crack after a couple bites...
I'll roll with their coffee cake muffins for sure... I stay away from poppy seed muffins...
blueberry all day tho.

This is what we had this morning... not even those cinnamon coffee cake ones..... what kind of a soulless heathen would do such a thing???

Cincinnati has an abundance of great, independent bakeries. All of the donuts and baked breads can be had.
Do you guys put chili all over your donuts?? I hear putting chili on stuff that should never in a million years have chili on it is kind of your thing out there.....
Yeah but do your bakeries have dope bread puns?Gonna have to redefine those generalized parameters a bit. Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky has an abundance of great, independent bakeries. All of the donuts and baked breads can be had.
Cincinnatians have their limits. I don't think anyone would dare to taint Cincinnati style chili with the presence of a donut.
Noodles is cool, though.
Not even apfelkuchen??

I have some weird hang-ups when it comes to fruit. Delicious when it's fresh, cool and firm. Gross when it's over-ripe, warm and squishy. The texture of cooked fruit tends to be more like the latter than the former, so I'm usually not a fan. But I realize this isn't normal, so carry on enjoying your fruit-filled baked goods.

haha, every time I see a break down of how y'all do chili in Cincinnati I'm like:

Is it because a ton of Germans settled in the Cincy area?
This reminds me though, I do need to find a good local bakery in North Austin...
My preggers wife likes two things: hot dogs and Dr. Pepper.I freakin love chili dogs... or even a ball park dog w mustard and onions... I know they're terrible for me and all that... but I'm powerless if you put a either in front of me.
I'm partial to lemon poppyseed.

Dr. Pepper is the only soda I'll drink... again, I know it's terrible for me, but I have maybe 2-3 Dr. Pepper's a month... it's good stuff... I can't choke down most other sodas.

A guy from the local Knights of Columbus at my parish shared that he was celebrating his 66th wedding anniversary with his wife. I asked what his plans were, and he said that he would split a Dr. Pepper with his 91 year old wife. I asked what the key to a long and happy marriage was and he again brought up Dr. Pepper.
Dr. Pepper saves marriages, folks. Take notes.
Pop (or so-duh for the southerners) is for the poors.
Dr. Pepper and Root Beer are the only sodas I drink these day. Pretty much only when I get fast food.
What do you drink when you have to get fast food?
I would say I almost never get fast food either, but Del Taco counts so.... I do FF about once a week.. lol
Take the value menu at DT out tho and I maybe get FF, geez, a couple times a year??
I know this wasn't at me but I either skip the drink or get water.
I eat out for lunch 4-5 times a week. Usually meet with clients, referral sources, other professionals, etc. at a legit restaurant once or twice (which is nice since I get to write it off). And then I hit Chik-fil-a and In n Out at least once a week each as well. I've tried packing lunches to save money and cut down on the junk, but if I don't get a massive mid-day calorie bomb (~1,500+), my blood pressure tanks in the afternoon and my productivity goes to shit.
My metabolism has been letting me get away with it thus far, but I'm sure it'll catch up with me sooner than later.
I should probably start doing this. But when you're signing on for a spread of fried carbs and protein, why not add some sugar water to wash it all down in style?
