ND is 15-0 when I'm out of the country, and my plane arrives south of the border at 3:30PM on Saturday. Just an fyi for y'all

I'm struggling to find reasons why Michigan will win this game. Literally every intangible is in our favor except the crowd. This is the rare game I would take the ball first. The crowd will turn on them if we score in our first possession. Michigan's season is over and we are coming off a bye. Irish by 13.

It's been awhile since ND has inexplicably stunk up the joint, so I'm going to take a blowout win for Harbaugh where Clark Lea finally gives up more than 30. I think Big Ten refs will protect Michigan, and I think they are going to circle the wagons to save King Khaki. Michigan 31 ND 10.

Realistically, if this is the same Michigan team we saw in September, and ND doesn't have a bad game plan on offense, I think ND 24 Michigan 21 is a reasonable score line to expect. Book is going to need to execute, WRs are going to need to play their best game of the year, and someone is going to need to hit some explosive plays. On defense, need to trust the CBs in man coverage and run-blitz on the majority of standard down and distance situations. We have seen Michigan be successful when they can establish the run or quickly get the ball in the hands of their WRs... we have not seen them execute a vertical passing game, pass protect for more than 2 seconds, or protect the football against aggressive team defense. If ND plays passive, they will not win this game.

ND 27-21. I love Lea coming off a bye. Doerer continues to be clutch and we'll get some big plays from Kmet and Claypool. I also think we'll get an effective Jafar Armstrong to mix it up with Jones. Run game continues to be strong.

The WR's will be one on one to the outside most of the night. Book will have to be more aggressive than previous games and not be afraid to make a mistake. I like Claypool to win more battles outside than he loses... Book just needs to deliver - on time and outside shoulder would help. Execute the outside passing game and the running lanes get a little wider. I expect Book to do just enough to make that happen. Irish win a close one 23-17.

28-14 Irish.

I don't think Michigan can reliably move the ball on us. A turnover or special teams play gives them the short field they need to keep the final respectable.

I worry that we’ll play the same rush-three, drop-eight defensive scheme we played for too much of the USC game. If we do, we will lose. Otherwise, we win.

Clark’s no dummy. 28-21 Notre Dame.

I picked 9-13 pt ND win but I certainly wouldn't put my money where my mouth is.

I think ND fans are treating Michigan as they're the laughing stock while ignoring some of ND's significant flaws.

I still think ND should win, but there are more than a couple paths to a ND loss that have been walked before.

I think ND went there because that’s how USC had been successfully defended earlier in the year (and no Crawford) but Michigan is an entirely different animal. Going passive is exactly how PSU let them back into the game. I expect ND to be aggressive.

ZV, not all heroes wear capes. You da man.

I think ND scores late similarly to USC to seal this one. But hard fought game against an emotionally charged bunch of filthy skunkbears.

31-20 ND.

Lawrence Keys III makes a big play in the 4th to spring the Irish.

Basically where I'm at. I don't think this ND team is that good. So, when you're not that good, you can lose to mediocre teams like Michigan.

I think any "elite" team likely throttles Michigan because of the issues we've talked about with Michigan's defensive scheme.

I think they are better than some of their results and this game tends to have strange outcomes... I don't really blame anyone for being cautious here though I'm not doom and gloom, just prepared for whatever. For my official I'll go out of a limb though:

These dudes have been playing football for 140 years... the rest of us are just playing catch-up or some shit. ND gets skunked.

I voted ND to win, but I voted too quickly.

I'm picking Michigan 24, ND 20. Locked in. Hope I'm wrong, just don't think we have the offensive firepower to score enough on their defense, and talent wise, they have us outmatched on offense as well.

Kelly said in his presser today that Jafar will be highlighted in the gameplan vs. Michigan

Saw that after the fact and glad to hear it. Because of the aggressive nature of UM's defense they are very susceptible to crossing routes and RB's that can be motioned out of the backfield. I think that'd be an easy way for the offense and Jafar to get going early. A heavy dose of Kmet and RB's to start the game and see if loosens up the D a bit, would make sense to me.

Au contraire. You're locked in for ND to win by 9-13.

I have a fear of the ref's calling PI's every other UM pass attempt to keep drives alive, that's how I can see us losing this game.

Keep the pressure on Patterson ALL NIGHT and make tackles. Do those things I think we can do enough on offense to win the game.

Certainly something that's crossed my mind. However, I had this fear a lot more when I thought there would be more on the line for the Big 10.

plus, it's hard to throw the ball when you're lying on your back. I want another UVA performance from the d-line, just absolute punishment.

I honestly have no clue what everyone is worried about. I am probably the last person on this board to have confidence in a game like this and I am going to place a LARGE bet on our moneyline. Michigan loses literally all of these games and have absolutely nothing to play for anymore.

Can't agree more.. Harbaugh is something like 1-10 against top 10 teams.

Michigan got DESTROYED by a WISC team that lost to ILL. I think this plays exactly like the PSU game.. we get up by 14-17 points. M battles back but we hold them off at the end to win by 3-7 points

I have us up 3 late, Long going soft and playing for a FG instead of a TD. We go up 6 and giving the ball back to Michigan with too much time left. Michigan marches and ties it on a back shoulder toss into the endzone, wins it on the XP. There will also be at least one VERY questionable penalty against ND on this final drive as well as a missed ND FG at some point earlier in the game.

Michigan 21-20. Praying I'm dead wrong...

Michigan may have a slight edge in talent, but they had a huge edge in talent against Army, Wiscy and slight edge against Penn State, and that didn't work out so well, unless you consider beating Army in OT at home a great success.

ND hasn't been spectacular this year but they look like a team that isn't going to beat themselves - they commit very few penalties/turnovers and play assignment ball on defense. Michigan isn't going to win this game relying on a slight talent advantage and ND making a crucial mistake on the road. They've done nothing this year to suggest they'll come out with their hair on fire, play a clean game and simply out-execute ND to win this game.

I admit, they did look better against PSU. However, they still managed to beat themselves. Pattycakes tossed a pic that PSU turned into a TD and then their receiver dropped a gimme TD to tie the game. It was pure Michigan.

I think this will be an evenly matched close game that can go either way. Based on what I've seen from both teams - ND plays clean, Michigan shits their pants a couple times, and ND wins by a FG or less. Call it 21-20.
