Please Jeff Fisher.

That would scare the shit out of me... I remember when they hired a failed NFL coach and got buried for it. Everyone piled on and insisted they were basically giving up for making such an awful hire... I'm sure you know where this is going.

Few people realize that the issues at USC right now are so big right now that football is on the back burner. They have major, systemic issues that are going to cost them insane amounts of $$ to ultimately deal with.

I agree the academic side is first and foremost, but I'm not sure she isn't addressing some of the athletic side at the same time as evidenced by Swann being gone. My gut tells me she will be satisfied with the interim AD while she gets most of the academic tarnish polished off.

Dude still comes off cocky and egotistical. Is it beyond him that USC faced major trouble as a result of his pay for play deal and they had to give back a lot of hard earned rewards that the team achieved? Those were accomplishments that Reggie Bush didn't earn on his own, even his Heisman campaign wouldn't have been the same without that powerhouse of a team. It could be argued that the trouble Reggie brought to USC was the start of a downfall they're still experiencing to this day.

For the first time in more than nine years, former USC great Reggie Bush is headed back to the Coliseum.

FOX Sports announced on Monday that its new college football pregame show will broadcast live on location from Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum during the Trojans' game Friday night against No. 10 Utah (9 p.m. ET, FS1).

Bush, along with a crew that includes ex-USC quarterback Matt Leinart and former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, will present a one-hour pregame show, plus halftime and postgame coverage from the field.

In June 2010, the NCAA ruled that the Trojans had to permanently disassociate themselves from Bush and his family, after they allegedly received cash and other improper benefits from sports marketers while the running back played at USC from 2003 to '05.

The NCAA placed the Trojans on four years' probation, barred them from playing in bowl games after the 2010 and 2011 seasons and docking them 10 scholarships in each of three seasons. The Trojans were forced to vacate their 2004 BCS national championship, and Bush voluntarily returned his 2005 Heisman Trophy.

USC spokesman Tim Tessalone told ESPN on Monday that the university "checked with the NCAA and was told that if Reggie is in a working capacity, it is OK for him to be at the Coliseum for a USC game."

In an interview with The Athletic last month, Bush said he looked forward to returning to the USC campus if his new job required him to do it.

"I assume it would be amazing," Bush said. "Not to pat myself on the back, but a lot of the kids still commit there based off what we did when we were there in college. I still talk to a lot of guys there. I still have relationships with a lot of people there.

"I hear stories where guys come to USC and they want to wear my jersey or they want to meet me. So, I'm flattered and I appreciate it. I think it speaks volumes to if you work hard enough, you'll be able to achieve it."

If Reggie Bush, Matt Leinert and Urban Meyer were all announced to the crowd, who would receive the loudest ovation?

My guess would be Urban.

My favorite Matt Leinart moment, other than the guy holding the sign at Gameday with Leinert in a tutu at his ballroom dancing class, is Leinart ripping up the ESPN Mag. They did a faux cover talking about Leinart falling in the Draft, and the story inside was all about him going to the teams passing on him and asking them why. Then he goes on to talk about how he's going to prove them all wrong or something. Yeah, how did that work out?

USC is always going to have an overrated 5* Cali QB throwing to 5* receivers. I really don't care who they get as long as ND gets Buchner... who is by far and away they best QB in California in the '21 class.

Carson Palmer tells Dan Patrick he would have chosen ND if he wouldn't have gone to U$C.

I used to work with Carson's dad and, according to his dad, he wanted to come to ND but could not get passed admissions. Not sure what the issue was but that is what is dad said.

I thought that was well known,... whenever the ‘wanted to go to ND’ discussion goes down he’s always one of the highlights.

He's often complementary of ND. I used to dislike him, but he's not nearly as insufferable as most U$C exs. Leinart is a POS.

If it wasn't already a done deal, I think Helton is done. He's dropped 3 straight to us and USC has lost 4 of the last 5 to Kelly. I'll miss him!

I guess. But this team’s got a future. If he can get them to play the rest of the season like they did tonight they’ll beat everyone they have left except for maybe Oregon.

If the team sticks together and play like they did tonight the rest of the season they have a good shot of winning the PAC-12; which would get by them into the Rose Bowl.

Maybe, but he's also 8-11 in the last two seasons. 3-3 is still 3-3 with some more tough games to be played. His seat was hot when the season started, and an upset against Utah isn't enough to save it I think. Whoever the new AD is will want to clean house and have their own guy in the seat.
