I want to know what the hell the McAdams character asked her presumed boyfriend to do that got him all fired up. That whole family is the most intriguing thing about the season for me.

I keep waiting for VV to tell a joke.

Also: Call it a hunch but I'd be willing to bet Aspen didn't do anything to the son's shoes. He probably just stopped wearing them/destroyed them himself because he was getting made fun of. Classic kid move to blame it on some nameless bully. When his dad basically threatened to beat it out of him the kid probably just said a random name. Sucks for Aspen's dad though.

That guy deserved to get his ass kicked simply for naming his son Aspen... How did a kid with that name become the bully anyhow? If I would have been bullied by this kid, it would have went like this:

Aspen: "Hey, nice shoes loser"

Me: "Aspen is a girl's name, queer"

Aspen: "[/sadface]"

It helps the quip-game if you're not a chubby ginger with a lisp and a bowl-cut.

Did anyone follow that whole rape subplot with Colin Farrell's character and ex-wife? Is the redhead kid possibly not his? And I found it odd that the ex-wife/mother was never shown. I would have guessed it was Reilly's character if they didn't show the stepdad.

That's a suuuper interesting idea. Doesn't make sense because of the stepdad, but still a really cool thought.

I think Farrell's character probably works for the Vaughn because Vaughn probably helped him out so much with the rapist. I don't think just giving him his name was enough though so we'll see what happens. I'm really interested in seeing more flashbacks of what the young Farrell character was like.

Yeah. The lawyer scene with Farrell's character made that point specifically when she asked him if "there had been a paternity test done".

It was funny though, my wife was telling me how bad of a casting job they did with his son right before that scene. I guess she was right.

I thought it was solid. Not great, but I didn't get too into Season 1 until after a couple episodes, so I still have high hopes.

I thought Ballers was pretty good also haha. Kind of brainless entertainment like Entourage, but I enjoyed it overall.

Ballers definitely has potential to be entertaining. I like your Entourage comparison. Different setting and characters but similar humor and plethora of good looking women.

Reps. This is awesome and made me laugh loudly in the office.

Oh, and I'm in on the show. Loved Season 1, and am very intrigued with the start of Season 2.

The one piece I wasn't putting together:One name that kept being mentioned was Casper. He had the event where all of the people were drinking/socializing and discussing business but he didn't show up, and they called him the city manager so he was near the top of the corruption scheme. His home was the place they broke into and found it trashed with strange shit inside.

Apparently, that was the man who had his eyes removed and seated on the side of the highway.

This was a huge piece I missed but it was about 12 last night before I watched the episode. I finally caught all of this upon re-watching today.

So, who killed Casper? Vigilante justice? New power family wanting to take control? Someone wanting his position? Is there an insider who wants to make his power grab? What did the bird head signify in the car with Casper's corpse (it was prominently placed on the screen)?

Taylor Kitsch's character is definitely gay, right?

Since there have been no bites on this. Antigone's father makes mention of the totems and says "these totems watch over departed spirits". The eagle head looked like a totem piece so I'm wondering if Ani's father is somehow connected to all of this? Anyone else make that connection?

I was thinking the same thing. He seemed to be going to a different place in his mind while being falated by a very beautiful woman.

Well he might've been thinking about his future attempted suicide

I'm thinking the sexual crime themes steps up a bunch, and he was murdered by someone taking revenge.

I didn't get that vibe actually but it would make sense. I just thought he was suicidal and stressed out about everything in his life.

1. Anything with Rachel McAdams...I will watch

2. Def slow episode, but you have to set things up in a show like this. They def did that.

3. Like many said, it will be hard to top season 1, BUT, with this cast there is a ton of potential.

4. I only see Tim Riggins when I see Taylor Kitsch.

I felt it was an obvious, oh hey here's an addy and while ur mutilating the guy my crew will be filming to blackmail you and have a pig in my back pocket.

Watched the first episode last night. Good casting for the parts. Episode 1 was just setting the table on who the characters are, but still interesting.

Didn't know we had so many Sigmund Freud's on here! lol

If you want to analyze........The scene with Vaughn and the Russian in the office was all about the power. The Russian told Vaughn who "The Man" was when he handed Vaughn his glass rather than sit it on the desk.

Also, Vaughn's girlfriend or wife stepping in on many conversations and redirecting things should be a good indicator that she is the brains and not Vaughn.

I mean that was definitely shocking but I'm kind of pissed. Not sure what the point of that was in the grand scheme other than to shock the audience.
