TP email harassment

I'm sure this has already been posted, but what could TP have possibly done to get someone that bats-it loco? I've never seen a single post of his inflammatory in any way, and he always just delivered solid insider info and helped create awesome videos.

Was someone jilted one of his nuggets didnt come into fruition? Was someone butthurt he scooped something before they could and they didnt get the chest pounding satisfaction and attention they crave?

I know it's impossible to understand the mind of a maniac or jealous douchebag, but this is just so damn baffling on about a hundred levels.

I can't imagine a regular poster would do something like this. We don't always agree, but for the most part it is always very civilized. Like you said, TP never did anything wrong. He also always respected and protected the decisions of kids with his buzz buzz, which I think is the right thing to do. I mean we can't all be like Farell from rivals and ruin kids moment right?

Anyways, I want names damnit.

I received a series of about 20emails over the last 2 days from members on here that were very inappropriate and to threaten me and my family. Finding addresses of my family members and sending them to me, I hope you feel proud. Peace.

Let us know what we can do to help. I am tired of the inappropriate bullshiit on this site. I am pretty sure Jason would concur.

Are you kidding me! Some posters had a stick up there butt every time tp posted.. They would go out of their way (you know who you are) to call tp out. I could never understand why they had an issue with him. He would provide info or point us in the direction that things were going.
Just because these other posters were not on the inside they got all butt hurt.

Actually, I think the FBI might do a better job, they specialize in these kind of things. In fact about anyone can follow a message across the internet back to a keyboard if they know what to do with the header information. I have some friends. I am more than willing to help. They can find them.

We all know who had an issue with TP, and I know two of them, and they wouldn't do anything like this, so you better post your suspicions or keep them to yourself. This goes for everyone. This isn't going to turn into an inquisition!

Because this thread is turning into a witch hunt, I am closing it down. To reiterate: (1) the proper authorities have all the information available to resolve the situation (i.e. the information has been passed along to persons with the means and capacity to do something about this); (2) the identity of the emailer is not known except that it is someone who knows TP posts on IE (i.e. it may very well be someone who is not a registered poster), so the staff at IE has taken all the "appropriate action" available to us at this time.

I know the off-season brings us a bit of downtime in our conversations, but for the sake of maintaining your own dignity and the dignity of other posters, let's not gossip about who this could or could not have been.

First of all, I want to thank Pham for temporarily opening this thread so I can quickly clear the air on this matter. I appreciate the kindness.



I want to make it very clear that I would never make threats of real-life physical violence against another poster, and certainly not towards their family. I am an adult, and frequently post from my work cpu. I would not only never dream of such actions from a moral standpoint, but also from the fact that I could lose my job doing something like that.

My IP address is available for all mods and anyone else that is involved in finding out the identity of this scum. The same can be said for the other posters that have been contacted about this as well. Disagreeing with TP in internet squabbles should not make myself, HCTI, Bogs or anyone else automatic entries in the witch hunt. Threatening pm's, accusations, etc make you no better than the terrible person that did this to TP.

So I humbly ask the board to please let the process play out and to please refrain from involving themselves in type of McCarthyism that targets certain posters on the board. The reality is that the person who did this, may not even be an IE member at all, none the less a regular poster. So again, please let the process evolve and not try anyone in the court of public opinion.

EDIT: Because it is an ongoing investigation, TP was unable to give me the IP address to see if the guy lurks around here, but they've spoken to him over the phone and are confident that they have the correct information.

As an aside, I would suggest that anyone who sent an accusatory or otherwise inappropriate PM to any fellow member here send a follow-up in which you own up to it. I also suggest that these members accept any apologies with grace. There is no reason that this incident, perpetrated by an outsider, should cause divisions within.

To be honest, the guy that did this to you probably got the exact opposite effect he was looking for. You probably gained cred for the respectful way that you left (I mean that, i'm not being patronizing). Now that you are back, people that disagreed with your methods in the past have been ostracized too far to return to credibility, despite having nothing to do with your threat.

This will probably be my last response to you. It's just not worth it for me anymore, and human nature prevailed. That will probably mean that my posting will slowly dwindle to nothing, but oh well... every rose has it's thorn... btw though, I would love to get more info on who this person was. You don't have to give out their name specifically, it would just be good to get a confirmation that someone was actually pinpointed in this situation. After all, it was left to be assumed that someone was indeed caught. Who caught them? How did they find out who it was? What was the end result? I think some of us that were vilified for this deserve an explanation of what exactly happened.

Why must you always have the details?

I'm an oddball for someone on an internet forum. I relinquish my name. Most anybody else would do their best to never expose themselves. They keep the internet masses from becoming personal. Now you're asking someone on the internet to share personal details.

It's not TP's fault that you were a suspect in this crime. It's yours and those who attacked you. Yours because you created an internet "adversary". Openly attacking him on a forum where many hold him to high regards. And theirs because they shouldn't have done that. No one told them to do that. They should have left TP to his own battle(s).

I apologize for their stupid actions, but just be happy that TP already apologized to you and stop expecting more, more, more from him.

And what credibility do you need to post here? It's an open forum. I still respect you as a poster. I just get sick of your picking on TP (and everyone else always fighting his battles for him).
