What’s up Crew! We moved to the Denver area. Actually pretty far out from Denver, Roxborough is the name of our little city. Glad to be back West of the Mississippi.

Thank you sir! 2 under two is interesting to say the least.

We love the area we are in, close enough to the city but far enough to avoid a lot of the congestion.

Wife finally dragged me all the way to El Paso and I'll be in Santa Fe for the Spanish Market in July (or whenever it is, I think it's in July, I know I'm going, whenever it is... lol)

My son, who turns 3 in August, is already a sports nut.

All he wants to do is go outside and toss football, hit baseball or kick the soccer ball. We also took him to TopGolf over the weekend, and he loved that, too, even though he was just kind of pushing the ball off the tee and rolling it over the ledge and into the range.

We took him to the Blue and Gold game in April, and he's been asking to go back to Notre Dame ever since. He'll randomly say "Mommy/Daddy, I wanna go to Notre Dame and watch football game."

It's the coolest thing ever. I think he developed an attachment, and is hung up on it, because during the game, he didn't understand why he wasn't allowed to go onto the field and take a turn playing with the football that we bought him. He REALLY wanted to walk out onto the turf lol. I think he remembers it when he sees his football at home, and still wants to go back and play on the field.

He's currently on a "Sandlot" kick, too. We rented it from the local library so he could watch it, and now it's all he wants to watch when it's TV time. He loves the "We're in deep shit!" line, and is now repeating it at random times.

Can't wait to get a note from daycare about his language lol.

All of my boys were that way. Always had a ball in their hands. It would be 20 degrees and snow on the ground and they'd be outside playing tackle football.

Shrewd advance planning arranging this so Mom gets Mother's Day before you get Father's Day.

Thanks guys it really means a lot. I will admit I was a little sad when we found out we were having a girl at our 20 week appointment. I always wanted a boy first. But now I am so glad to have a girl, I wouldn’t change it for the world. She is perfect.

We were blind sided in the hospital after we were minutes away from being discharged. Millie’s bilirubin levels rose and we needed to spend another night in the hospital while Millie spent the next 16 hours under a UV lamp and blanket.

We were prescribed a UV blanket to bring home with us the next day and needed to have her spend as much time on it as possible. The doctor called yesterday to tell us she could be removed from it since her blood test from that day came back lower. Doctor asked that we do 1 more test tomorrow (today).

Today, the doctor called back and told us that Millie’s levels rose again and she was just a fraction short of readmitting us. She needs to be back on the blanket for the next 23 hours.

It’s pretty sad since we aren’t really able to really hold her and she needs to have a eye mask on for the next day. But she is pretty content since the blanket is warm. It makes the nighttime sleeping hell so expecting zero sleep tonight.

Has anyone else ever had to deal with this? It’s supposedly very common in preemis.

Our son was born on 4/9 and was 8.5 weeks premature. We just discharged Friday night. He was under the bili light for about week and half, they took him off for two days just to go back on for another 3 or 4.

I'll tell you that no matter what happens (another day with blanket or readmittance) you will look back on that time and realize how fast it went by and how it's totally worth your child to be healthy when u finally do get that chance to hold ur daughter. Hang in their brotha.

Praying for u guys.

I hope everything is going great for your son and your family. That’d be tough for sure.

Tonight she has basically slept the entire 8 hours she’s been on and is feeding great so it’s making things a little easier.

Keeping your family in my prayers, too. And congrats on the new addition!

My wife & I had a special moment as parents this week. When she picked our 8-year-old daughter up from daycare Tuesday, the head of the daycare called my wife into her office for a chat. Apparently one of the boys has a bit of a crush on Little Miss and was annoying her by hanging around when she was trying to ignore him and play with one of her friends instead. Finally, she yelled out him, "F*** off!" Yeah, what a special moment in a parent's life to have that conversation with the daycare person and find out your princess is actually a longshoreman with a potty mouth.

7 yr. old: Dad, I'm bored.

Me: I'm 41 years old, I work about 50 hours a week under the cloud of private equity ownership and I pay the bills here. I'd kill for boredom. You have no excuse.

7 yr old: Can I have a freeze pop?

Me: Sure.

I just watched that and what tripped me out was the dad sounds exactly like me,... it was super strange.

Yeah, that was me. The red head is my son, whom we've taken to calling "Tiny Trouble" for years.
