I was all for stadium upgrades, but this is too much. I'm not a fan of pretending that a music building attached to the stadium is going to make the campus or the music program that much better.

Some things should just remain more physically separated. IMO, that's athletics and academics.

ND hired a guy from the NFL to operate the jumbotron. There is a decent possibility the in-game experience (at least on the jumbotron) will be different.

It's a bit bittersweet to see all these changes to the stadium and our family is giving up the season tickets in the gold seats this year (20 years in gold seats, many more before that in the old stadium). The university has no loyalty, squeezing the blood from the stone that is past donors. The LaBars (Gifted the LaBar Practice Field) are in the same boat, they're out this year too citing the same reasons, they usually sat behind us. I'll be at the Georgia game this year, albeit in different seats, but that's the only game I'll probably get to this season.

I hope someone else gets to select the music, themes, etc. The NFL is so lame when it comes to getting the crowd involved. And hey NFL, quit calling those dancers cheerleaders. They wouldn't know how to do a single cheer if their life depended upon it.

They can afford it, as can my family, but at some point enough is enough. On top of the usual yearly "donation" for season tickets, the university was shilling for extra cash above and beyond what is normally given. They decided not to renew, as did we.

They should put an elevated DJ booth off to one side of the jumbotron, 20 ft above the bowl and hire a Dana Carvey look a like to be DJ Church Lady then get AND1's Joe Pope to MC.
