I have not been a fan of some of the recent uniform options, definitely ready for a change there!

I wonder if they'll try to sell pieces of the scoreboard to go with the benches and the old grass.

I'm with Beau. I seriously think that Under Armour isn't going to have staying power until they figure out what to do with that gaudy "X" logo (I know, I know).

It just doesn't look good... you can make it part of the design, but it's still going to end up standing out as the center piece, and it's just not a unique and stylish symbol.

With Nike, the swoosh is iconic, and yet it's subtle enough that it acts as "the cherry on top" of a design, rather than just kind of sitting over the top of the design and dominating it for no reason.

With Adidas, they've got the iconic three stripes... you can make any design that accounts for the stripes and looks like a shoe is supposed to look. They don't even really have a logo that they use outside of the tongue of the shoe, unless they're using that super dope throwback leaf, in which case that is a worthy logo to center a design around.

Under Armour's logo just doesn't lend itself to being designed around, like Adidas' three stripes, and it's not a logo that lends itself to aiding the design of a shoe, like the Nike swoosh. UA has a problem with the very root of their branding.

Also, their shoes just suck in general. The ND shoes above are far too busy in their design, and their Curry shoes look like generic white dad shoes.

If generic white dad shoes is your thing, that's cool... but "generic white dad shoes" shouldn't be describing the shoes branded for one of the biggest superstars on the planet. Can't believe Curry and his people let that happen.

The logo sucks on shoes. I think it looks great on shirts and pants, especially on polos. But yeah they need to come up with a different logo for shoes. If they really need the UA logo they should just put it on the tongue of the shoe.

I've got some reasonably good connections to people that work at UA in Baltimore, and I don't think the company has a great culture (despite rampant recent success) and I'm not entirely sure they're built for long term success.

With that being said, the logo is great for upper body apparel as greyhammer said. It's very important to make the distinction between that kind of apparel design and shoes.

With regard to shoes, there are lots of mixed reviews on them. From a cosmetic standpoint, people tend to hate them. From a function standpoint, some people really like them and others do not. Speaking strictly of cosmetics the logo does not look good on the side. It's my personal opinion that it needs to go on the toe of the shoes... OR Under Armour needs to develop a separate shoe brand like how Jordan brand was done and call them "Curry" and make a logo that doesn't suck. They have enough ties to prominent figures in every sport (Harper, Brady/Newton, Curry) that they could even do dedicated microbrands for each person.

As for design on the toe, they already have a lot of cleats that don't look bad with an offset toe logo. And they could do something wrapped straight on the toe like what you seen from other "square" logo brands like Tory Burch. Or even have it on the heel. Right now, they just have way too many designs that are trying too hard to be different. Very few shoes look clean, and those that do are pretty boring.

From what I've heard, they're basically mandated to have a logo entirely visible from the side profile because that's how most still frames of shoes are done for marketing purposes. And accordingly, it's a significant design hurdle.

I like the tiered pricing schedule - think they could have simplified to 4 zones instead of 8 but very long overdue pricing change. I'm sure the season holders sitting at the 50 will be whining the most.

Will be interesting to see how the lottery changes with the pricing changes.

First bolded: absolutely. My criticism of the logo and how it's not good to design around/with is a commentary strictly on shoes. That giant logo on a hoodie is dope. I don't know why it works that way, but it does.

Second bolded: That's what I was trying to get at in referencing how "busy" their shoe designs all feel. The best ND-related shoe I've ever seen is the Nike Roshe that's done in custom ND blue and gold. They are AMAZING, and it's because the design is clean and uses two colors. ND's flagship UA shoe that Crusader referenced includes FOUR colors. That's too much. No contest.

UA's cleats are good. Even their "rebranded" lines from ~2006/2007 that were straight black with the white/grey UA logo on the side were good, because that's one instance where the in-your-face UA logo works on a shoe... if it's a white/grey logo over a black cleat.

These were fire back in 2006:

Friend of mine said it was the second time this has happened during this construction. The other guy fell not quite as far and hurt his shoulder. Cannot confirm.

They obviously had a harness on because If not they would be dead from a similar fall without. Construction has dangers that go along with It! Safety Is huge these days! It Is a business in and of itself.

Harnesses aren't required (and typically not used) if you are working from a properly guardrailed scaffold. The recent article was reported as a fall from scaffolding, not sure about the one Connor mentioned though.

That will be wonderful. My only complaint about ND Stadium is no replays. That should help for crowd interaction too.

Yes. Scaffolding can be used in lieu of harnesses as long as it was constructed right or has the proper railing height and such.

Apparently there's going to be a new game day locker room that a source called amazing. Also will be updates to the Gug, but not really sure what those entail.
Junior Day Buzz | Irish Sports Daily

I don't mean to sound like a jerk because I'm seriously asking, but wasn't the gameday locker room and everything about them updating the stadium talked about on the signing day show when they did the Cross Roads pieces? I know they talked about updating the locker rooms drastically and that they would have a new place for returning players etc. during those segments.

What I'd like to see renovated is the indoor practice fields, every clip from their indoor practices makes it look like they are practicing in a barn.

Since there is no Shamrock Series game, what are the odds we break out Green unis next season for a home game?

I did think the same thing... The Shamrock Jersey has been a favorite of players (not always the fans) since they started doing it... Curious if they do the green jersey or do some type of unique jersey for a home game this year... maybe not a full crazy shamrock jersey but something different
